Hello to everyone, my name is L.W Luger and I have been into bodybuilding and sports for 15 years, I have done the juice and everything and have achieved great goals but now that I am older I noticed it is alot harder to keep the fat off and to keep the big muscles at the same time.I must say though for everyone on here to stay away from the juice, I had a serious injury in 1991 and it was mainly because of the stuff, although I was benching 525 at the time because of the juice I was tearing up my body,I was eating upwards to 5000 calories a day and eating everything from tuna fish which is healthy to gallons of ice cream every day, I sometimes would eat 1 half gallon of ice cream without even getting full, but I kept the fat off and looked fabulous,I am 38 now and still work in sports entertainment but I dont do the drugs anymore and I still have about the same body as I used to before my injury,I am at 4% body fat and weigh 275,my bench is 450 pounds, and I feel great, and I must tell you guys something, it doesnt really mean much on what you eat as long as you get the balanced percentages in your daily diet, I and many of my friends in sports eat a clear balance of fat, protein, and carbs and get about 33% from each every day,I mostly eat protein shakes, egg whites and yolks, beans, veggies, some chinese health food, and some other health foods, about 75% of what I eat is healthy but the other 25% comes from what you guys call junk food meaning fritos, corn dogs, ect, I ocassionly every week eat pie and ice cream, and I do eat my fair share of sweets and I dont get any less body fat percentage or muscle sizes when I eat the junk, see I have done all kinds of tests on my body throughout my proffesional sports career,I have gone through stages where I have eaten 12 protein shakes a day,and 3 chickens a day as well as 1 whole bag of beans, and about 18 egg whites a day, which every day I averaged about 68% protein,25%carbs,and 7%fat,I looked the same as I do now and I eat a very good amount of the so called junk food,I eat 4800 calories a day now and I must say 1200 or so of them are from the junk food department, I dont consider hamburgers junk because you got your fats, proteins, and your good veggie carbs from them, so hamburgers are more like a balnaced meal, I dont eat fruit however because fruit seems to make me feel tired instead of energized, I do drink lots of coffee too,but I dont drink lots of caffeine in mine though, it looks like tea when I make it,I probably consume 12 cups a day,but caffeine wise it would be like 3 cups a day of regualar, but as for the junk food debate it doesnt matter, and not even in your insides because I always get a checkup and my heart rate and blood pressure is even better now then it was when all I ate was health food a year or so back, I even have a friend in my sport that eats 13000 calories a day!He eats this kinda meal for breakfest
that is his typical breakfast, and for lunch he usually eats 4 peices of chicken breast with crust as for me my guns actually have grown over the last year they went from 20 to 21.2 since last july,But I am still growing bigger ever week,I want to get up to 300 but I have so much of a metabolism it is hard to get up to that much weight, plus I train every day so I have to take in extra calories
Joe I will email you when I get home since you like my favorite sport wrestling so much, I can give you alot of stuff like videos of me and wrestling, and all kinds of stuff, maybe some tickets too, You remind me of my young self because I was 170 at your age and then decided to go to wrestling. joe give me your email and lets talk to you all IP: Logged |

No disrespect, but I think you either made a typing error, or you seriously need to get your body fat done by someone competent.

Hello everyone, I am new to this board. I play division III football and am on a 3-day lifting program, and run three days a week on non-lifting days (sprints followed by conditioning). I have been trying to consume as much protien as possible, but have heard different theories as to how I should use it. I am 6' at about 245 lbs. I have heard that the body can consume about 50 grams of protien every three hours...can anyone confirm or deny this, if so, could you tell me how fast the body can break protien down and how often and in what amount I should consume it? I am not able to eat the junk foods without gaining weight and have been eating red meat twice a day, egg whites in the mornings, "a sensible dinner" and protien drinks 15 minutes after my workouts are completed, I also use creatine. any suggestions or advice is appreciated, thanks. aten8, you should read his post more carefully. he never said he was clean (admitted to doing the juice b4), and probably has the genetics to have a super low bf anyways. also, if he is really the Total Package (assuming u know who that is) then yes, he IS in better shape than 90% of olympia contestants. torture rack anyone? hehe... Whether Luger is lying about his stats and lifestyle, or if he happens to have that 1 in a million genetics make no difference. Either way what works for him (alledgedally or otherwise) is not likely to work as a method for a 'natural' to get huge and down to 4%bf. I eat junk food too. I consider it part of a healthy diet, maybe one or two meals a week. Some of his advice is actually quite good, such as I suggest you eat 3000-3500 calories a day Not bad advice for a growing teenager like Joe. But Most people that are not on juice cannot continue to eat like that for their entire lives and not have it catch up with them. BTW There is no %bf scale that I can find that would put a 38 year old male at 4%. This is simply because any reputable %bf calculation would take in to account the accumulation of internal (as opposed to subcutaneous) fat with increasing age. In other words, even if all his caliper folds measured 1mm he would still technically be over 4% bf at his age. In fact I'm sick of this board. There is some very good advice to be found on it from qualified AND experienced dieticians and knowledgeable people, but there is also far too much boasting, exaggerating and outright lying. Let's bring this board back to a DIET board, and leave the best lifts and stuff to the powerlifting board. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I'm not knocking anything that luger has said. I to believe in a diet very similar, thoughout my years of competing my diet has always been somewhat of the opposite of what it should be. And I know he used to juice, but he says he is no longer. All I said was that his bf% at that wieght is off. I've been in this buisness 16yrs and diet many pros. If by chance luger is a freak of nature then hey I guess I'm wrong. But I would have to see it to believe it. Sorry!!!
Peace. [This message has been edited by aten8 (edited June 02, 2000).] IP: Logged |

This is getting said. No BBP wasn't supsended. His back was all f'ed up. That's really him in the pic. That's really me. He goes to a sport bar near my house all the time. It'd be news to me & every wrestler out there if WWF, WCW or ECW were gonna crack down on roids. Maybe the should try getting rid of coke 1st. I'm not speaking just to speak. I'm speaking because I know.

Didn't WWF crack down on steroids at one point, back when the government was getting involved and folks like Superstar Billy Graham were testifying before Congress? I seem to recall they tried to make their WBF steroid-free, and everyone came in fat (especially Mike Quinn, as I recall) IP: Logged |

Aahhh the WBF. Vince Mchanon's one true failure. That thing failed in part because Vince was indited for federal steroid charges. So Vince during that time wanted to distance himself from steroids. That's why he made the WBF go natural and he just wanted it to disappear. People associate steroids with bodybuilding and Vince was facing some serious charges. That is why Linda Mchanon is the CEO of the WWF today. Vince put it in her name so just in case he went away the feds wouldn't be able to take it. Just like a drug dealer huh? Anyway don't worry, the 'roids flowing freely today in the WWF, WCW and ECW. I was actually drinking Miller Lite in that pic. You just can't see the bottle. I kinda leaned in for the pic. IP: Logged |
