hey, i was wondering what would be a good diet for a teen?
i want to gain muscle mass. NOT lose weight.
how many meals should i have a day, what should they be? can you give me a sample of what it should look like?

i am very determined and ALWAYS have SUPER INTENSE workouts.

this is my day for saturday? is it any good??

Bicep Curl- 10 sets of 10 reps
Reverse Curl- 10 sets of 10 reps
Hammer Curl- 10 sets of 10 reps
Overhead Tricep Extension- 10 sets of 10 reps

Bicep Lifts w/ 10lb- 10 sets of 10 reps
Reverse Lifts w/ 5lb- 10 sets of 10 reps

go on my powerrider for 20 minutes
run 2 miles on treadmill
lose 100 calories on my electronic exercise bike

10 sets of 10 reps for CRUNCHES
10 sets of 10 reps for 1/4 CRUNCHES

thats all i did today
and heres what i had to eat

Breakfast
--------
right after all my training
Met-rx drink
440 calories, 56 grams protein, 41 grams carb

Lunch
-----
Fish sandwich, with 1 tb fat free mayo and lettuce
2 cups vegetables
1 apple
------
390 calories, 25 grams protein, ?? carbs

Dinner
-----
4 oz chicken breast sandwich
1 1/2 cups broccli (sp?)

Snack
------
Met-rx Drink
2 egg egg beaters egg substitute ommelete w/ fat free cheese
-----
510 calories, 71 grams protein, ?? carbs

i also drank 4 liters or 1 gallon of water today??

hows that? am i doing it ok??

From what I have seen in your one day example, I think you need to do some more research on somethings. You state you are doing 10 sets per exercise. Way too many! Try finding a good beginners books and find a good beginner routine to follow. Right now you are heading down the overtraining road and/or injuries by doing that many sets per exercise. Also many books and/or magazine will give you good meal choices. You may need to vary then a little depending on what your caloric intake is suppose to be. If you are not sure about good books check out www.amazon.com for referances or post that question a this web site to see what books other people could recommend for you.
