Hi, I have been reading some of your replys to some of the readers! I am wondering about the last of belly fat to get rid of! You mention yohimbine, I have some yohimbe bark, would that work the same as you were saying? Also would it be OK to mix with Thermos? Thank you for your input!! ;-) Pamela IP: Logged |

Your Yohimbe supplement should have a standardized anount telling you how much Yohimbine is available in the powder/pills. The amount of Yohimbine is what you are looking for. Yohimbine is one of many alkaloids that are extracted from the bark of [I forgot the name of the tree] a yohimbe tree (in short). It is hard to tell whether you are getting the Yohimbine or one of the other alkaloids in most herbal forms that do not state the standardized amount. If your supplement states the percentage of yohimbine that has been standardized in the the product, simply take this percentage and multiply it by the total amount of yohimbe bark extract. This will tell you how much Yohimbine is present per dose. If you are taking the "Yohimbe Fuel" by Twinlabs, it is standardized for 8 mg/capsule. How accurate this is I don't know, but I have been using it while dieting the past 13 weeks, and I have been able to tell a difference in my lower abdomen. As far as it being safe while taking other fat burners (caffeine, ephedrine, norephedrine, etc), this is kind of difficult to answer. If you have any kind of heart problems, or any kind of high blood pressure problems, then logically you would want to avoid it. But, if you are fine otherwise, then I would ease into the recommended dosage. I usually take around 2-4 capsules per day in divided dosages, and I can definately feel its effect on my body. It is very strong, especially combined with the usual fat burners. The best time to take it is in the morning when insulin levels are low (on an empty stomach an hour or couple of hours before eating/before morning cardio). After this dosage, I usually take it before workout, and I also take it about an hour before my meals. I normally will not take it after 4 or 5 in the evening because it is like ephedrine and will make it hard to fall asleep at night. I think the usual dosage is around 15-20mg./day. If your label does not say the standardized amount, then its hard to tell how much you are taking. So I guess if it doesn't say, then I would take it in the morning for one dose and see if any reactions occur. Trust me, you will feel it working, if not, then its hard to tell. Don't know if I answered your question, but I hope this helps. ***By the way, go to mesomorphosis.com and look up Elzi Volk. She has written a great article on Yohimbine, and she knows her research on this topic. You may need a physiology book to understand some of the terminology though. IP: Logged |
