I get best results by eating something that will take most of the night to digest. In other words, because I am to lazy to wake up in the middle of the night, eating foods that take a while to digest helps give me my proper nutrients. I like to eat meals like a chicken breast with a salad and a healthy fat infested dressing. Also, some studies show that eating cottage cheese as your last meal may be beneficial because it forms up into a gel-like cluster and will stay in your gut longer. I also like to have a protein shake with either canola oil or flax seed oil. Because I take soo many soma's and excedrine pm's at night, I usually don't wake-up, which makes my last meal kind of important. IP: Logged |

Depending on what foods you have been eating during the day, you could eat a protein bar that is low in carbs at this time. Most of these bars are around 300 calories plus they usually through in some vitamins that your body could use at night. If you eat a lot of these during the day, then try some low fat, and low glycemic, sources of protein before bed. Most publications usually give many examples of small meals to eat. I think Muscle and Fitness was giving examples of meals in their U.L.T.R.A. workout program, as just one example. IP: Logged |

I had to look this one up in my medical dictionary. If I understand this right, this is a condition where you cannot sleep due to muscle aching and stiffness. Actually, I only take sleeping pills mainly when dieting and supplementing with ephedrine. If I don't, then I usually will be up all night. I am fine when not using the ephedrine/caffeine though. I have switched from Excedrine/Tylenol PM's to Sominex because I'm not too hip on taking acetaminophen, especially at 2500-3000mg's per night. As far as Soma's go, I do not take them all that much because I run out fast. Also, usually instead of drinking with my friends, I pop a couple of these to get on the same wavelength as their dumbass', a lot less calories and hangovers. Overall, I try not to get too caught up in these pill habits anymore. If I am wrong about the interpretation of fibromyaglia, then please correct me. Take it easy man. IP: Logged |
