I just read an article in a muscle magazine that interviewed a naturapahic physician who wrote a book about different blood types and food that should be eaten by these types. He says that if you have blood type o you can do well on a high protein diet. If you have blood type A you should be on a high carb diet.
Has anyone heard of this? Is there any merit to it?

It is an interesting book if we're talking about the same one (Eat Right For Your Blood Type, by Dr. Adamo). I agree with him that we are generally not eating very well compared to even one generation ago. I also agree with him in the sense that we should all probably invest in taking a food allergy test to make sure we're not eating foods that cause a delayed reaction (sometimes the symptoms are hardly noticeable).
But the main problem I have with his theory is that he states we should all be eating different foods based on our blood types...but yet animals also have different blood types and they live long and healthy lives even when they eat the same things. I don't want to jump too quickly and say that he is wrong, because I think his book brings up a lot of good points. But after reading the book I had more questions than answers. I think he's partially onto something and more research is needed.

Since I posted this message I have bought the book and am reading it. I agree that the idea of everyone with a particular blood type should eat exactly alike is too stereotype. They have a web page that has a lot of testimonies of people who have done well though.
Thanks for your imput.
