The question has been raised. Endomorphs hold and extra amount of body fat. Ketogenics is a diet in high fat. Med protien and zero carbs. The question is, will the body store it as fat for the lack of carbs? IP: Logged |

A keto diet can cause weight gain if calories are excessive, but this is not common since the diet tends to blunt appetite. An endo will lose fat on a keto diet as the other bodytypes will, but the key is the recarb period and coming off the diet. When on a keto diet, one becomes hyperinsulinemic and the high insulin levels will preferentially refill fat stores. So recarbs for endos' is best kept at 24-36hours, not the full 48 that others can get away with. Also, when ending the diet, and endo should introduce carbs slowly over about a two week period.
