Anyone try these new diets that emphasize eating like a pig, only once a day, only after working out? The editor of that new Penthouse mag, Mind & Muscle Power, calls his version The Warrior Diet, while the kids at www.ironmag.com call theirs Animalbolics. (Theirs seems to have been first.) The logic is convincing for losing lots of fat and gaining a bit of mass, but before trying it myself, I want to know if anyone has actually done it. Thanks! IP: Logged |

Thats not exactly a description of Animalbolics. You are supposed to eat more than once a day on animalbolics. I don't have all the specifics, but there is a limit to carb intake as well as timing of eating certain things. IP: Logged |

If you only eat once a day, even a large meal, it won't help you lose the weight that you're looking to lose. I'm not saying that you won't lose the weight, but, think about it like this: if you put a lot of coal in a furnace it will take longer to burn off then say, a small amount at a time. Your metabolism works the same way. If you feed yourself small meals say 5, it will make your metabolism work more effeciently. If you only eat once a day your body goes into survivial mode. Which slows the process for turning food into energy. I would not try this because it will only slow your growing process down. ------------------ IP: Logged |

My brother does the eating once a day routine. He is not a body builder, but he maintains a good weight with this type of diet. He eats around 10 am, and just gorges himself full of good foods and sometimes sweets. But he doesn't eat another thing until the next day. Doesn't seem healthy to me, but it has worked for him.
