![]() ![]() ![]() I thought I was doing well on 400gms a day, however when my sponsors got hold of me they insisted that I go closer to 700gms. However ensure that you drink plenty of water throughout the day as this level of protein can 'apparently' stress the kidneys. However this sort of voodoo nonsence is probably made by the 'cult' of carb lovers out there! Have a nice day! IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() there is alot of discussion on protein intake some say that anymore than 40 grams per meal is a waste--WILL BRINK has put money up for anyone who can prove this the RDA for protein is very low(i think .08grams per pound body weight) most experts recommend 1.2-2.2 grams per pound i have read that the body becomes efficient at consuming protein and if you miss a meal the body turns on itself for the protein and yes i have heard that very high protein is hard on the kidneys sorry i didn't post references if you want them just ask and i'll try and find them IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If your body doesn't use all of it, it will just pass it though the proper channels. I don't see a problem with "over loading" protein, unless you are counting those cals in your diet and your body isn't using them. ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Actually, I believe that the body converts excess protein into mostly saturated fat. I don't have any clear references for this, but off the top of my head I'd say look at Duchaine's "Bodyopus" IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() not much chance of converting excess protein to fat....just doesnt happen likeat most pros eating 500-800 although i think to be excessive.....go 55-60 5X per unless one of these 'Pro's' says otherwise ------------------ IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() The harder you train and the more gear you use, the more protein you will need. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Whey protein is good after a work out it has a quick absorption rate. Ant other time probably just a blend like most of the meal replacement shakes. IP: Logged |
