WHAT THE @#*&!! No matter what I do I cannot loose the last little bit of fat that covers up my bottom two abs. I have been eating a 1. 55% protien 2. 25% carb 3. 20% fat. Can anyone help me. I have about 14% body fat and this has worked somewhat. Any suggestions on what I can take to help me be in tip top shape by summer Thanx Jacked | ||

14% bodyfat and the only fat you have is a little on your lower abs? My abs have been like that all winter, and I'm consistently between 8-9%. First, re check your bodyfat percentage. Stick with your current diet and caloric intake, and begin to add some morning cardio with a thermogenic a few days a week. Try this for 6 weeks. That little bit of fat will be gone in a jiffy, but don't expect to gain any muscle, you might even lose some. Or, try the German Body Comp workout that I've sounded like a broken record recommending. Find it a www.testosterone.net . Go to search and enter German Body Comp. Supposedly you can lose .5% bodyfat per week without any changes to diet, a Charles Poliquin masterpiece. | ||

I agree, try some morning cardio on an empty stomach. Also mix up your diet and rotate your carbs. Keep carbs pretty low and maybe not consume any after 4pm. ECA works well for me, you may want to try that. Are you taking Flax seed oil? 2 tablespoons a day is good, great for lean body mass. Mix up your cardio routine as well. Stairmaster, treadmill, bike, precor, etc. Your body adapts so you gotta change things around frequently! Goodluck | ||

Thanks for the German Body Comp tip, I searched for it but couldn't find it. Do you mind please posting a link. I have a contest in 66 days and need to drop some of the lower abs. The winter is really a challenging time to get ready and I need a change up. ManOSteel ------------------ | ||

I want to comment on what new@gettingbig said about that "changing up your cardio cause yuor body adapts" thing... Cardio is not like lifting. Your body doesn't give 2 green shits what gets your heartrate up to 70% or so of max to burn some good calories. It's not the exercises itself your body will adapt to, it's how much effort you put into the cardio routine itself. Eventually you will have to run faster, pedal quicker, up the intensty, etc, because your body will adapt to the intensity of course, and pretty soon that 5.8 mph you were jogging at won't get your heart rate to even 50% of max. I'm sure you can see by now what I mean when i said that your body will NOT stop burning fat if you constantly always jog or whatever, it's pure crap, and I'd love to bitch slap the jerk who even started that damn rumor, which so many people believe to be true. | ||
