I know this has been posted before, just wondering if anyone has tried it out. Or does it 'sound' like it would work, or is it just a fad diet? thanks.

I've done the WD for about 7 weeks, once this past fall. I didn't lose any fat, but I didn't gain any either, even though I ate as much as I wanted during the "overfeeding phase" - a lot of which was crap. I also didn't lose any muscle, but my workouts became very low volume [4-6 sets per body part], since energy did suffer. Lifted the same weight for same reps, but couldn't crank out the same sets.

As for Animalbolics, I've done that one for 3 months or more at a time, more than once, but with a lot of modifications. I got to the 5%bf range with it, but keeping track of calories is very important.

I suspect that despite what the WD author says, or doesn't say, about counting calories, if you want to get very shredded using his system, you should do so. I am sure that had I counted calories on the WD, I would have lost fat - the problem is that the diet leaves you so hungry throughout the day, it's next to impossible not to overeat at night [which he says is GOOD, but I'm not sure about that].

Animalbolics makes for better workouts and fewer feelings of insane hunger - it's something that can be FEASABLY done long-term.
