21 yrs old, been doing low carbs for almost 2 yrs, BodyOpus, Anabolic Diet, Lyle's book. Now I practically lost my sexual ability. Starting to eat carbs again and its slightly better. Anyone else have this problem with a low carb diet and if so how did you fix it. Starting w/ 30%carbs in diet, low glycemic and hoping things will get better. This is very frustrating, I've had problems before but nothing like this.

id suggest getting a blood test to make sure everything is ok wiht you. 2 yrs is very long man.
-are you obese?
-note that low carb diets will give you much less energy than normal ones.
Best of luck

Why have you been on a low carb diet for 2 years????? That is a very long time and you should not be on that type of diet for that long. Cutting for a show or losing some bodyfat after Bulking, but 2 years.....Your body has to have hit a plateau for weight loss etc. Your body adapts very easily and you have to change things up like your diet and weight training routine. Come off the diet!!!!! Also I would maybe get things checked out, could be for different reasons as well.

Your prob could be due almost anything. Low carbs are a prime suspect, and even at 30% I would still consider you to be on a low carb diet. Some people function really well on low carb diets, others hit the skids early on. Maybe you're one of those 'in between' guys. Also, after 2 years on a low carb diet it is very likely you could be vitamin or mineral deficient, hormone deficient or chronically constipated. Or it could have nothing to do with your diet. The first thing I would do if I were you is to ask your GP for a FULL blood workup, and let him/her know why. It could be genetic, psychological or just about anything else. Also, have you been using any AS? If so what, how much and what kind of cycles and post cycle support?

Hi PwB, I was wondering if you were taking any kind of thermogenic supplement that contains ephedrine. A lot of people have been reporting that their "sexual performance" (if that's a good word) has decreased considerably because of its use. Although I think the good outweighs the bad with this supplement, I did experience similar experiences during my last keto diet (last summer). This was only after I had been on it for about 2 months, but when I added Yohimbine, it seemed to get better. Towards the end, the yohimbine didn't seem to help much, and when I would "rise to the occasion", the feeling was not as...oh...great. Almost like cumming with no real orgasm. Then when it was over, seconds were damn hard to get because the damn thing just didn't cooperate. I had no problem the first time cumming, that was fine. It's just that when it did lose it's belongings, the sensation didn't feel as "great". Damn, i'm going all out with this post, i'll probably never hear the end of it now. After the discontinuation of the ephedrine (and diet), everything went back to normal fairly quick. I must have been on it for at least 20 weeks straight too. If it means anything, this sensation was experienced not only by having sex with my EX-girlfriend, but also by Rosie palm and her 5 sisters. Anyway, i'm gonna go to the restroom now so....

Thanks for the advice guys. I was using a Ephedra based product for quite some time. Used Xenadrine for a long time then stopped and switched to MD6. Anyway, I've had blood work done and total testosterone is 466, which I dont believe is all that high. Either way I hope that upping my carb intake will help. I've been deppressed the last 2yrs too for a few reasons which also might have an effect. I've had problems before but nothing like this. Hopefully all will be well within a few months, I see a direct correlation though between cutting carbs and my performance. At Testosterone quite a few people have had the same complain. Thank you for your input everyone
