And how often should they be eaten? I am trying to drop weight and not sure if I should eat small meals often or just maybe one meal a day and a bunch of MRPs. Sorry about the newbie questions, but I have always been trying to gain weight, not loose it. ------------------

I use the Opti-Pro meal by Optimum. Not because it is the best (although very good), but because it get it pretty cheap. There is a local healthfood store that sells the 30 serving tub for 30 bux!! Has 3 different proteins and added aminogen/carbogen. Fats come from MCT's. This is the MRP if you're on a budget. The best however, is what i would call a custom mix I've made at the protein factory. Taste's bad works good. For taste, the new orange jubilee myoplex by EAS. Taste exactly like an orange push-up.

Best MRP I've ever had in my life: @ www.nuclearnutrition.com it is not as thick and filling as most, and tastes very good. I like Myoplex, Twin Lab's Mrp too. though they are more $$$ Size powder@ www.proteinfactory.com is the most efficient bang for your buck, and definetly as good of quality as the aformentioned products. ------------------

MRP are things that replace a meal. It's hard to eat 6-8 times a day and MRP are a convienant way to get more protein and calories. Whey protein is usually in a MRP, but most also have a mixture of whey and casein. If you want to gain weight, add MRP's to your diet whenever you can. NEVER let them take the place of food if you have time to eat it. Always use it to SUPPLEMnt your diet. Nothing beats a good old fasioned steak does it? If you can eat 6 times a day, add two MRP's to your diet as well. They are very usefull at night for extra growth. I like "Lean Body" myself because of the taste.

I really like the Met-RS protein plus bars and MRP powder. They both tase great, look for the roasted peanut flavor. You will swear it is a candy bar. I buy mine at costco. Way better rates than GNC (ever Super Tues's 20%!) and the exercise of walking around that place counts as a cardio routine for me :^)

I agree. Met-Rx is great. If you decide to try their products, order on-line. Even with shipping and handling charges, you come off cheaper per packet than buying them retail in a store, even Wal-Mart. (Shop around on-line though. Some sites will be cheaper than others.) ------------------

I have tried A LOT of mpr's. Myoplex (especially the new tropical variety pack yummmmm) is definately the BEST! Great taste and good amount of protein, low carbs, vitamins, etc... |
