Ok, I am an ex college offensive lineman, I have been out of the sport for about 5 years, not including the year of Arena ball I played. I weigh about 280 and am not way out of shape, but pretty damn close . I want to drop to about 230 but still want to increase lean muscle mass and strength. What do you guys recommend. Do you think supplements like Creatine would help me achieve what I want to do or do you think I should skip the weight training and just focus on cardio until I get down to my desired weight. I am kinda a newbie to all the new shit that's out there, every thing I used to take is off the market now or has changed. In the past all I was concerned with is getting huge but since my football carrer is over I want to shed the pounds. Thanks... ------------------

Lose 50 pounds of masswhile increasing lean muscle mass? Ok lets say you increased lean muscle mass by 5 pounds in whatever time it takes you to get to 230. You would really have to lose 55 pounds of fat while gaining 5 pounds of muscle. Going to be pretty tough to do. What I would do is start doing some cardio, follow a proper diet, and take some ECA. Diet is the most important ingredient at this point. Creatine won't really help you. Once you slim down to 230 you will have lost a lot of fat, but I lot of muscle as well. Lets say that takes you 6 months to lose that mass. You could probably do it faster or slower. Once you get down to 230 or whatever weight you decide you like, you can easily gain back a lot of that muscle you lost. Thank god for muscle memory. Just eat clean, do cardio a few (3-5) times a week, and get a good ECA like Ripped Fuel, Xenadrine, etc. They are all the same. I used to be 280. Now 210 and with more muscle than ever before. Chances are, it will be much harder than you think. Stick with it and you will definately notice great changes. Once you get going you won't turn back.

Everything Bsmooth said plus try the German Body Comp workout. Never tried it myself but know two people who followed it to the T. Both lost fat ONLY without changing their diets. Poliquin claims .5% bodyfat lost a week without changing your diet. Keep in mind they were very consistent with eating plans and had little (maybe 15 lbs) fat to lose. Can you imagine that workout plan, paired with a CKD and a thermogenic? It would be scary!! If u want to take it a step further, try the FAT FAST diet.

I have been very happy with my results using an ECAY stack, and I totally believe in the value or creatine as an effective, cost efficeint OTC supplement.

Well here is what I am doing. I started doing cardio 2 times a day, 6 days a week. In the morning I do only cardio (eliptical trainer). In the evenings, one body part per day, Chest, back, bis, tris, legs, then hop on the eliptical again. My biggest problem is I want to lose weight, and I am, but I'm not sure exactly what I should be eating to maximize weight loss. I eat probably 2 real meals a day, chicken breast/turkey, and then down a can of tuna after my evening meal. How can I best suplement my eating? Thanks.. ------------------

Oh, BTW, I can't do any ECA stacks due to my elevated blood pressure so supps like ephedrine/caf. are out. ------------------

Heavy weight training!!! Dont skip that... It will boost your metabolisim and creat lean muscle mass. Change some things in your diet and add cardio 4-5 times a week 30-45 minutes. Never quit weight training. That is not the answer! |
