I need to cut up really bad. What if I did a 0 carb diet. What would happen then? And another thing. Can you get an E/C/A stack in Canada?

0 carb would put you into deeper ketosis. but i doubt you can get that low.. everything has carbs in it... ya, you can get the stacks that come already made, or you can buy ephedrine and caffeine and aspirin of course, separately and take them together.. ephedrine is sold at GNC, its just not on the shelf, you have to ask them about it and they will get it for you out of some locked drawer.

TO EAT 0 CARBS WOULD BE VERY HARD. I WOULD SAY TO EAT NO MORE THAN 50 CARBS A DAY IF YOU REALLY WANT TO CUT UP. WHAT PART OF VANCOUVER DO YOU LIVE IN ? YOU COULD GO TO GATORS GYM IN METROTOWN MALL AND PICK UP SOME CAFFINE AND EPHEDRINE PILLS FOR $11EACH CDN. HOPE THIS HELPS M18

when i was at my rez in University last week I was eating only about 10 grams of carbs a day.. I was in deep ketosis.. right now im not in ketosis at all, I cant figureout why.. at rez I eat only chicken, udo's fat oil, and ground beef.. and some lettuce and cucumber sometimes.. right now i'm sorta at a plateau, im hoping when I return to my rez I will continue to lose more fat when im in deep ketosis,, but we will see. I'll keep u informed if deep ketosis does anything special for me.

Once upon a time I got to about 4% on a carb starve diet. That's what I called it anyway. I ate nothing but meat for three days and took in carbs for one. I ate like a front end loader on my meat days, didn't care about anything but more calories. Then on the normal food days, I'd take in high glycemic carbs and have fun. I had a shitty attitude on it but it could've been the divorce so I can't comment on that for sure. It was good enough that I plan on hitting it again for the summer. I helped a local chick lose 60lbs so far on it. She thinks I'm a genius. She doesn't know about you guys, hehe.

Kahn, Can you explain what exactly you did on this diet. I mean did you do that 7 days a week or did you have cheat days or what? I really appreciate that. Also could anyone explain to me exaclty what Ketosis is? Thanx

Ketosis is when your metabolism is running on fat as energy as far as I can tell. I read that is bad for an extended period of time but I don't go that long or even check to see if I'm in it or how far I'm in it. My diet was doing one packet of Met-Rx with two scoops of designer protein right after my workout. Those were the only carbs I intentionally took in. Other than that, I ate meat for three days and one day of normal carbs but not a lot of fat. Change you meat every day so your body doesn't get topped off with the same aminos when it breaks the protein down. Chicken is the cheapest so you'll probably do something like chicken-beef-chicken-fish-chicken and so on. Your body needs fat so don't go overboard getting that out of your diet. It will also be your energy. The carbs will get eaten up digesting your food, your main source of energy will be the fat. Out of 100 calories of carbs, 23 are eaten up by the body processing and storing them. You will be burning fat just by eating. That is on top of the basal metabolic rate and if the fat is moderately low, the more you eat, the more you will lose. Don't forget the fourth day is lowfat normal. Don't pig or you'll be miserable. The carbs will probably bloat you but that will go away in a couple of days. I tried to go for more days between carb days but the three on/one off deal worked best for me. If you go too long without carbs your body will slow your metabolic rate and you'll smooth out, that took me five days and it sucked. 3/1 is the best in my experience with the others I helped, too. Calories first, carbs second, you still have to take in enough calories to support your bodyweight. Don't think you're safe and can live on twelve pounds of cheese everyday either. You might take a month to get your stomach up to the challenge of eating that volume of food but when it does, you'll like the feeling. It's a new way of thinking and when you get used to it, it'll be second nature and no effort. You won't get humgry after your body gets used to it either, carbs are what your body uses to signal your brain to tell you you're hungry. [email protected] if you want to ask any other q's. Good Luck

hehe-forgot to mention how its going to feel burning out your carb supply. It'll stomp your ass. You'll punch a Nun for a candybar. The first two trips through the 3/1 cycle will be difficult and you'll have to moderate your attitude. You'll be a little testy at minimum. It takes to about the second day and by that evening, you'll either be real hungry or ready to go to bed early. Stick this out and by the third time the cycle starts, you should be fine. I've lost 5-3/4lbs in one day on this diet before. It was water but shocking to see none the less. Don't put too much stock in what the scale says either, go by the mirror. You can take this diet down to striations in your glutes. I could trace veins from my head to my toes, eeven through the fat pads on my sides, it rocks.

Ok, after seeing so much on the Keto diet, I am thinking about trying it started mid Feb. Just a couple of questions. I heard that your muscles will get flacid from not having carbs? This goes away once you are done with the diet, and your muscles will get full again? Also, how much fat/protein do you eat on no carb days? I mean, if I go to Burger King and eat the burgers off of 6 whoppers for dinner, I'll be fine? You said, the more you eat, the more you lose. What if I'm taking in 5000 calories of fat/protein? I will actually burn more fat off my body than if I was eating 3000 calories?

What I meant by the more you eat more you lose comment is that if you keep your fat low(100grams?) but not outrageously low(you need fat for energy), your body will be running on fat as energy after a couple of days and it will have to use more fat to digest the food(protein) you take in. It's a fun diet when you get it dialed in for you. You can go all day without getting hungry or you can shovel in the meat and not be stuffed to the gills like you would if you did it with carbs. After two weeks, it'll be second nature. It'll change the way you live. I had energy out the ass, slept for about four hrs a night and never got sick when I did it. Not that I was on it for yrs or it was the reason, but some people say they got the flu in the first three days every time they tried it. Worked great for me but not for others.

Kahn, Doesn't the day with carbs every four days take your body out of ketosis? I thought it took about five days to get into ketosis...doesn't the cheat day bring you out.. ps...operating on almost NO knowledge...haha

I just went by an article by Kevin Lawrence. He said what he did to rip up for a contest and it went like hell on my body. I love the shit. Scott Abel just did an article for MuscleMag and he said most people do well on the high carb or low carb diets, I just excel on the low/no carb. I'm not sure about ketosis because I don't care for anything too extreme, I don't even check mine. The carbs every three days kept my metabolism from slowing down. At the 5 day mark, I would go flat and smooth out. If I reset the metabolism every three days with the carb dose, then it would continue to wail and I was happy. Some of the stuff Scott Abel said wasn't quite my style but he says every body is different. It just happens to be a simple shit diet for me. Nothing but meat, change the meat every day, calories way up, and carbs every three days. On carb days, eat clean. I eat a multi-vit and calcium tab at every meal. Break calories up into six meals.

Your best bet is to cut out all starches from your diet. Eat primarily a lean protein source(chicken, fish, beef), fiberous carb (brocolli, mushrooms, etc) and unsaturated fat (olive oil) at every meal. Remember that fiberous carb grams actually count against your total carb intake and the fat with give you the "satiety" or overall full feeling after your meal. You should see huge results if you stick with this basic program and make sure your very disciplined with your cardio work also. -Late-
