I have a book of Food Counts, but it only lists the raw egg composition of fat, carbs, and protein. Does cooking the egg change the caloric levels and or fat/protein/carbs? Particularly for egg whites. Thanks for any help brothers. delts ------------------

No it doesn't. cooking eggs and animal flesh will not degrade the protein content at all. the amino acid bond is virtually indestructable through cooking. as far as the vitamins and minerals are concerned, yes. that's why everyone raves about eating fruits and vegies raw. but I would cook my eggs. tastes better too.

The thing that can change is the nutrient percentage, since water and fat can lessen when cooking. Normally this is so little that it won't be important to think about. At worst, it only means you might get a little more protein than you aimed for. But its really small numbers. Mike H / VIKING OF THE NORTH.
