I know the amounts of protein required while on keto but I'm wondering whether or not the type matters.By type i mean whey or whole foods and whether or not taking whey might make me come out of keto.I was just wondering because of the fact that whey is absorbed faster than whole foods.Also if taking a protein supplement is ok during the no-carb week would it be better to take pure whey concentrate or get a 50% whey 50% casein mixture(because of caseins slower digestion properties). | ||

If you want to worry about protein make shure you not ingest a protein with large amounts of Glutamine since this AA is by the liver the fastest converting into Glucose, and that's no good. I tried different stuff, but casein works the best for me, since u'll digest it slower as you said. Those glucose amounts won't peak that much in short time. It has a prolonged raise not threatening the ketosis. Try finding a highprot cheese. They contain loads of Calcium and good protein. Calcium lowers FFA-uptake. May be good here. Remember!
