I know some of Y'all have probably tried this, but I decided to post it anyway. So for all of you who are always asking for a great recipe for oatmeal, here is my current favorite. 3/4 Cup instant quaker oatmeal (1 minute) mixed with 8-9 oz of skim milk. Microwave this for 2 minutes and 15 seconds. Take out and stir. Immediately stir in 1 scoop of chocolate whey protein. Right now I am using EAS's "Simply Protein" because I only pay $25 dollars for it (5 lbs.). After this stir in 2 packets of Equal. Finally, the secret ingredient, stir in 1-2 Tablespoons of Adam's All Natural Peanut Butter (or Vons generic brand will do fine too). Try to add the peanut butter while it is still hot. ENJOY. I am not big on cooking since I have neither the time nor the patience to make foods that take all day to cook and are easily eaten in like 2 minutes (always seems like a waste of time to me). This is simple and easy to make and tastes great. By the way, I am not calling this my invention because I know some of you creative types have already done this. One last thing here, this is usually my pre-workout meal, which is great because of its effectiveness on keeping a constant blood glucose/insulin level. Until next time, MR.BMJ |
