Well bros, this isn't excactly the dream recepie of the cookbooks, it's more like a tip. We all know what a good and cheap protein source tuna is (in water of course). Well, I can't stand it! But mix the tuna up with ketchup(how's that spelled in english anyway?? ;9) ) of any flavour you like, and believe me..it's acctually quite tasty. Mike H. / A.K.A. peanut butter, grilled chicken, and low cal cheese on wheat toast. lean steak strips, with carmalised onions, cheese, mayo, crisp lettuce, cucumbers, and bbq sauce, on wheat bagel. grilled chicken/tuna, stirred up in 8 egg whites, wit peppers, onions, tomatoes, and ranch onion dip seasoning. mashed potatoes mixed with grilled chicken, salt, pepper, onions, garlic, chilli powder, some skim milk. tuna, mustard, hot sauce, mayo, salt, pepper, mixed up till smooth, on wheat toast. chunky chicken soup, slathered with mashed pototoes on top- home made pot pie.
2 eggs, 5 whites, scrambled in pan, folded with left over brown rice and sloopy joe mix/chilli. -best ommelette- i could go on forever but i will stop for now. the possibility of the foods we can eat are endless as long as the protein outweighs the carbs and fat i will eat it.

Low fat rice pudding mixed with some berries (can use frozen ones-thaw in m/w),heated banana, raisins, dried fruit and then mix through protein powder. Anything added I guess is what I'm trying to say as long as it tastes good and isn't fattening! Eg no choc peanuts. Grill/bbq chicken with soya sauce on it and garlic granules. Grill/bbq chicken with cajun spices. Add sweet chilli sauce to salads to add flavour... goes great with everything. Also salsa is another good extra to add for flavour. Grill/bbq salmon steaks served with salad and a side dipping bowl of wasabi/soy sauce and pickled ginger. Canned pink salmon - saute a onion in a little water until soft, add the salmon, a bit of low fat milk heat through and then add some cornflour to thicken (about a tbsp). Serve on toast! Really yummy. I know it sounds yuck but it's not. Serve with veg or salad on the side. Homemade toasted paninis or toasted sandwiches - use low fat meats/fish etc, use hummus or chilli sauce, chutneys for flavour on the inside of the bread instead of butter. You can add things like a few nuts, sultanas or raisins - get creative and slap it all in and heat it up believe me you soon learn what goes with what. Here's some quick ideas Lettuce As you can see the list goes on - some of the ingredients you'd need to pre-cook abit in the microwave like cauliflower/onion may be. Lastly porridge (rolled oats) can be made with almost any fruit in it, dried fruit added to it, spices like ginger or mixed spice, cloves etc cook and add protein powder once done. I'm sure the others have told you how to cook the oats. Hope that is some help - I'm trying to think of what else I do. Low fat pancakes Mix the first three ingredients - add enough water to make the mixture quite thin but not too thin - you'll tell when you pour it-if it's too thin then it will not stick the flour together if you fuck up add more flour. This is a recipe for thin crepe like pancakes not those thick things Americans eat. When they are all cooked then you can but fresh fruit salad in the middle of em and some protein powder - roll em up and serve with low fat yoghurt topping them. Heated banana is nice in them, and berries. Fresh COLD mango slices to are nice. The more fruit the better unless you hate fruit these are really nice.

#1. 1 can of tuna (albacore) inside a wheat pita pocket with cucumber chips. #2 .5lbs of cheap steak cut into stripped and sauted with onions and steak sauce. eat with rice, mixed vegies, or stuff in a pita pocket (I'm begining to really like those things) #3 Homemade chili: boil 1 bag 7 bean mix, chili mix, a bunch of cayene pepper and chili pepper. cook 1lb-2lbs of ground beef with one onion and add some salsa at the end. mix the two and cook together for a while. (this makes alot of food!!) chili is probably the best bulking food I can think of. Add some of your recipes, I want recipes NOT a list of food. ------------------ quote:

You will never look at Tuna the same when you try this: One can of tuna in bowl with 1/4 cup of pancake mix(whole wheat or better yet metr-x) one egg white. mix it all up and if it is to thick just add alittle water. Add pepper and/or chile power or hot sauce. Fry on pan with low heat, when it rises flip. Add ketup or speg. sauce if you feel its to dry. If you are on a really low carb diet just add about 2 tbls of pancake mix and skip all the sauces except plenty of pepper. This is the only way I eat tuna now unless it is a no-carb day which is rare for me.

Mix some tuna, salmon, baby shrimp, Snackwells's cracked pepper crackers, salt, pepper, 2 eggs and hot sauce all together. Form them into patties and cook in a frying pan with a touch of oil. Flip when they start to brown. I also eat this uncooked inside of a pita with some tatziki sauce and celery and/or cucumbers. Very good. Stuffed chicken breasts. Cook chicken until almost done. In another pan, sautee mushrooms, celery, peppers with a drop of oil and onions. You can add a hot sauce as well. Slice open the chicken breast and stuff. Simmer for 10 minutes. Squeeze lemon over the chicken and serve. |
