I've been doing this CKD diet for two weeks and I lost a pound and no bodyfat. Sunday-Friday afternoon no carbs, hight protein and fat. Friday afternoon to Saturday midnight. low fat, a ton of carbs and high protein. I'm also taking clen, t3, EQ and Fina. I hit hte gyn in the AM for cardio at least 4x a week and do weights in the PM at least 4x a week. I'm under the suggested calorie level for hte CKD diet by at least 500 calories. Any ideas on why I'm not losing bodyfat? ------------------

You probally spill over a little. I am carbing up every 2 weeks. To gain muscle glycogen from carbs you also gain a little fat with it even with glucose desposers. Try Alpha Lipolic Acid, 100mg every carb meal.

He means the calories from your carb-up may be in exess and thus, may cause fat storage. This may or may not be your problem though. CKD-related problems are too difficult to and complex to easily asess. Have you read Body OPus, Anabolic DIet or The Ketogenic Diet? If not, you may find what you're looking for in one of those books.

Hard to help you out on this one. There's a zillion reasons why you're not losing weight, including: Too many calories (you may have miscalculated your AMR or miscalculated your actual calorie intake) Too many carbs. Without knowing exactly what you ate and how much it's impossible to tell. There's a lot of 'hidden' carbs out there in foods you'd never expect. Too much protein. This can essentially have the same effect as too many carbs. The ratio of protein to carbs is important. Improper measurement of % bodyfat. You may have gained muscle/lost some fat. If you lost 1 pound of fat and gained 1 pound of muscle, it would be difficult to accurately measure the bodyfat change with, say, skinfold measurements. Fluid retention. CKD tends to be a high sodium diet. It's unusual to hold lots of fluid during the ketogenic phase, but common to retain fluid during and just after the carb-up. Time of day and week you weigh yourself. CKD tends to induce dramatic fluctuations in weight throughout the week so it's critical to weigh yourself at the exact same time each week. The CKD may just not be ideal for your body type. And other possibilites........

Bro, you're on anabolics, could it be that you're gaining muscles so that weight loss don't seem drastic? Also, if you're using tanita fat scale to determine your bodyfat loss, that thing could be highly inaccurate.

Thanks for your input. I'm going to try a 40/20/20 plan and redo my BMR. ------------------ |
