My girlfriend cannot take any supplement with ephedrine in it. She gets shakey, headaches, jitters, etc.
I was wondering what alternatives are out there to help her cut up that doesn't have ephedra in it. Legal only please.

Try adipokinetix, it has noephedrine. It's a form of ephedrine, but you won't experience the jittery feeling as much. Are you sure that the ephedrine was giving her headaches? Was she taking Xenadrine? Xenadrine has Tyrosine and I know some people who get headaches from it. Try adipokinetix. Start her out on small doses. But diet and training are the most important factors fat loss. Adipokinetix may help, but it's not needed.

yes the first one she tried was Xenadrine. But then she tried Dymetadrime and she got jittery, headache, and even her hands got numb! Crazy experience. So i'm assuming it's the ephedrine... any alternatives?
thanks

You could try one of the new green tea based thermogenics. Go to www.prosource.com and look up either Thermo-GTX or Thermodyne.

Hey riskybiz,
Try Adipokinetix. It won't cause that jittery feeling. And if it does, it's not nearly as bad. And Dymadrine Xtreme has Tyrosine in it also. Avoid anything with Tyrosine. For some reason people have been getting headaches from it. Good luck.

thanks for advice, but i doubt the tyrosine is whats giving her the shakes. She gets them pretty bad, and she feels her heart pumping really fast. I was thinking about buying some l-phenylyline or chromium with chitosan or some other safer alternatives. Has anyone experienced good results with any of these or is it just b.s.?
thanx

Try synefrine instead of ehedrine, stacked with caffeine. Synefrine is also known as citrus aurantium and is found in Canadian ephedra-free Ripped & Diet Fuel (I think you can get in the states too).

This is a common problem with people who are sensitive to ephedrine related products. There are some things you can try:

1.) If you live somewhere where you can get access to Mini-Thins (found at gas stations, also Heads-Up and other ephedrine containing products), then you can half or even quarter the tabs and begin with low doses. Purchase caffeine tabs from K-Mart and do the same with these too. Aspirin is NOT necessary, so don't worry about it.

2.) You can try some of the norephedrine (phenylpropanolamine, PPA) containing products, but this will most likely affect her too, but it can't hurt to try. The generic OTC diet pills contain PPA and are time released, so the cardio-stimulatory effects may be reduced.

As for the synephrine containing products, they are crap. Synephrine is an alpha agonist and does not show the lipolytic/metabolic effects of the beta agonists. The thermogenic effects of synephrine are due to its vasoconstricting properties.
