Can anyone give me a sample of what a day's food consumption would look like on the ketogenic diet, for both carb up and low carb days. Keeping the calories at around 1100. Thanks

I would keep calorie intake to at least 1500. If you lose more than 3lbs the second week on it then add 200-300 calories.
Sample
Weekly
Breakfast
4 eggs
4 baccon
1 oz Cheeze
snack
Protein with flax oil
lunch
1 Can of Tuna 2TBL real mayo
Snack
2 Tbl peanut butter
Dinner
8 oz Chicken and 3 Tbl mayo
or 8 oz Steak or fish poached in oil or budder
Weekends start out Saturday eat 2 peaces fruit then 1 hour later do a full body work out then eat carbs. Eat every 2 hours brown rice and pasta. Eat 1 or 2 Cheat meals like pizza. Keep protein intake .9Lb bodyweight.
take sunday off and keep carbing.
Eat 500gm carbs sat, 300gm sunday.
Monday back to keto.
train
chest and arms on mon, back and shoulders tue, and wednesday legs. do cardio every day except sat and sun.

that is a good idea as far as diet goes, but horrible for training

first of all, you need to train the largest muscle groups at the beginning of the week while glycogen stores are still high. doing this will enable maximum effort in the gym and also kick you into ketosis faster. what i'm trying to say is that you HAVE to do legs on monday as far as i'm concerned. no doubt about it. a good split that mcdonald says in his book is to work out monday and tuesday, and then friday do the depletion workout.

also, cardio everyday plus weight training 4 days plus keto diet is going to kill your body. weight train 3 days a week and cardio no more than 3. and you'll be more than ok. it's VERY important not to overtrain while on keto.

finally, i'm not sure what your weight or age is, but i'm pretty sure 1100 cals are going to be wayyyyyyyyy to little. go with 12 times your bodyweight for fat loss. so unless you weigh like 90 pounds, up the calories.

What?

You have no business giving keto diet advice to someone else if you don't even know what foods to eat on the diet.

Keto dieting done wrong can be a disaster... you really have to know what you are doing.

I suggest you have her read 'The ketogenic diet', or at least do some research on the web on her own.
