i recently decided to start runnning in the mornings before eating, for maximum fat burning. my question is, how much muscle does running on an empty stomach burn in ratio to fat. i dont want to sacrifice any muscle with fat.is there any way to prevent this from happening. if i ingest some glutamine before i run will this help? also is it better to sprint and work fast twitch muscles, or jog and work slow twitch, which would be optimal for fast fat burning? i also am thinking of popping an eca before running with some coffee. | ||

actually the whole point with cardiovascular work is burning fat but NOT burning muscles..thats why you shold keep your hr in a 60-80% of your mhr...and i would recommend fast walking instead of running..if you have some size on you this will be safer to your joints and muscles. eca stack is great to take right before doing your morning cardio..i did when i dieted down..my morning cardio was 30 minutes on a cardio bike and it worked great..combined with a good diet i lost over 30 pounds in 12 weeks ------------------ "...damn you for not giving my TEST" - Metallica "After this show i'll be fat and happy again.....If i make it to the show...." - Lee Priest "Lets put some weight on the bar.." - Shawn Ray "IT DOESN'T MATTER" - The Rock | ||

This may be hard for some but a liter of water before monring cardio has helped me lose fat along with a eca stack, and another liter of water during cardio too.. Good luck. ------------------ | ||

Mr.Muscle did you take anything while you were cutting??? Clen, ECA.... etc? also i'm at 15%bf.... would ECA be the best bet! | ||

Nobu--I think your best bet is to jog for 5-10 minutes to warmup up and then do some type of strinting exercise, like sprint 100 jog 100, any combination would work and throw in an ECA type product and you should be fine | ||

nobu: what your doing is top notch for fat burning. I followed the same program and it worked wonders. Athough I would add BCAA's along with glutimine for muscle protection.
