Are you guys sore after every workout? I usually feel that I slacked in my workout if I am not sore the next day. Also, do you feel sore when you are cycling? IP: Logged |

I change my routine at every point that I dont feel some soreness, seeing as how that could be adaption, and I dont want that. I take in plenty of protein and all the other nutrients I need for repair, but I think soreness is kind of welcome as far as Im concerned, its kinda like I picked the barbell up, screamed and the muscles listened, and well. soreness does not equate growth just as lack of soreness does not mean no growth. It is believed to be caused by micro tears in the muscle fibers caused mainly by the negative portion of the rep. IP: Logged |

I agree. Soreness doesn't account for growth. Some supplements, like Creatine or Androstine, repair muscle tissue so fast that there is hardly any soreness. Not really necessary to change workout for 4-6 weeks. IP: Logged |

I ALMOST FEEL I NEED TO BE SORE AFTER I WORKOUT. For me, it's a sense of accomplishment...knowing that I did some damage to my muscles that day! It's a pain in the ass though when someone finds out you're sore and purposely fucks with your sore limbs!! I FUCKEN HATE THOSE FUCKERS WHO I TELL I'M SORE TO, THEN THEY SQUUZE THAT PART OF MY BODY!! NEXT TIME I'M GOING TO TELL THEM MY DICK'S SORE!!! LOL LOL

I really don't get sore anymore. At most I feel a little bit of tightness in the area the day after... but nothing more. It hasn't seemed to effect my growth though. IP: Logged |

I agree that soreness dont equate muscle growth. I do notice a change when Im cycling creatine and when Im not. Right now Im not using it, so I have been more sore than usual. The biggest level of soreness is always during a change in my routine, due to waking the muscle up by hitting different angles, I do alot of negative training too, so Im sure that aids in soreness also. If I can't get a soreness in the belly of the muscle, I'll try upping volume or alltogether changing the routines. I regularly piss off my workout partners because I tend to swap routines around 6 weeks or so. IP: Logged |

I think we all get sore from time to time. I notice a big difference when I do a set(s) to failure. I always get muscle soreness when doing walking lunges. Also, I'm sore after running on the treadmill. ------------------ IP: Logged |
