Everyone criticizes kids for being too young, and obviously they should wait; however, they are not going to wait. I started when I was 18 and no one was going to tell me that I couldn't. Kids are gonna do what they wannna do. So, instead of criticizing, give good advice. For example, I don't think any kid should do test. Things like EQ and Deca and Primo and okay for them to do. i have cycled for three years, and at least in the short term, I am fine. As for long term effects (heart attacks, protate cancer), who knows? There's my two cents. I don't mean to be a hypocrite and criticize you guys, but you know what I am trying to say. Later.

We know what you're trying to say and since we're telling you not to, it means that we've been there. No one likes to preach but once in awhile, some of us old guys might stop some younger person from making a mistake.

I believe that 17-18 is the minimum (since males have a little more sense by then). The main factor remains the amount of time spent in serious training. For example, an 18-year-old with 4 years of serious training is much more suited for "enhancement supplements" than a much older person with 6 months to a year of serious training. Think about it!

Well said, Papa. I am glad you replied without harshness. I just want to let people know that it is good to warn a kid that comes here asking, but the kid will do what he wants, like I did three years ago at age 18. Also, I think some 18 year olds are mature enough (i.e. those that look 30). It is safe for us to say "don't do it," but sometimes it may not be bad, and the kid may be in a position where it would be beneficial.

2think took the words out of my mouth.

say your a short guy, age 17, if you take riods at that age you decrease your chance of growing any taller. i knew some dude that was 18 and 5'5, when he turned 20 he was 6'2
so no one tell me it can't happend....

when i was 17-18, if i could've gotten gear, i would've taken it. now being 21, with4 1/2 years of athletic training, i wish i would have. dudes in college athletics now-a-days are super-huge. football, baseball, basketball, even soccer! DIESEL!!! plus in high school, to drug tests!! I FUCKIN HATE DRUG TESTS! if a junior or senior in high school is going to the next level of competition, (for sure!!) then maybe it would help them in the long run to pack on size & strength in high school. just my opinion, and ya know opinions are like asshole, everyone's got em'!! just my 2 cents!

GET HUGE AND DROP BOMBS!!!

I agree with 2think to a certain extent. I am 25 and have been training for some 10 years. But I believe a person should be a minimum of 19-20. Of course it is different in each person but a male goes through puberty and already has elevated test levels at the age you are talking about. What 2think said does make sense but really and honestly how much experience did you have at age 18 maybe you did it for 2-3 years but as you got older I know you found that there were things you were doing wrong back in the beginning. We all have. I used to eat clean as hell believing what the mag's where preaching only to find out there is a hidden side to bodybuilding and I don't mean just juice. I think at 2-3 years of experience you could possibly have enough time to learn all your mistakes and correct them plus if you are still in puberty you could really screw up your natural test. production by starting to early. Just my opinion see ya

I started when I was 19 with just laurabolin and d-bol. Then I went natural for a year and started cycling again. I kept most of my gains but I know so much more now then I did then. The only problem, I think, with taking them too young is what juice junkie just said and being uneducated. I wish I knew more about it when I was 19......but thats in the past....and today I'm deisel...so no complaints here! later

Come on guys, 18? At that age you can not only stunt your growth but creat bone damage as well. You might look great at 18 but you could resemble the Hunch of Notre Dame when your 81. Play it safe.

I think 18 is not a good idea to take gears, you need to wait until 20-22.

I was 18 when I really got into weight lifting and eating supplements and thinking i could be like those guys in the mags. Well it didnt happen and even when i was offered gear at 24, I still didnt do it, prolly just stupid. but my point is I waited till I was 35 and Im reaping the benefits later in life. I was cought up in all the crap Joe Wieder was pushing, when I could have been paying the same amount for good gear.

The bottom line is advice is easy to give but hard to take.
