Well Bro, you need to figure out your BMR. Alot of people say multiply this by this...blah, blah, blah... The only surefire way to do this is by logging all the calories you eat all week long, at the end of the week, wiegh yourslef. If you havent gained weight you can pretty much bet what ever you came up with divided by 7 is your daily BMR. Now add about 500cal. to that and shoot for 1-2lbs a week in gains. Other than that bump your carbs up to a 3-1 ratio to your protein intake and youll gain weight. Later Bro... IP: Logged |

here is a simple way for figurung your BMR take your weight....put a zero on the end of that number....in your case that makes 2000...and then ad your weight to that figure...2200 this is what you need just to sit around and watch TV..with your tough job need to and 500 to 1500 calories on top of your BMR.By the wat 2 to 2 1/2 hours for a work out is WAY too long especially when you have a tough job, when does you body have a chance to grow?? Ok bro. First of all, if you are dead serious about packing on some size you need to get a calorie counter book and a pad to keep track of everything you eat all day. Pick a time to weigh yourself such as upon arising after you take a leak first thing in the morning. Then weigh the next week at the same time. If you arent gaining add 500 calories per day to your daily caloric intake. If you still arent gaining then add another 500 calories per day. Continue with this until you are maling a steady weight gain of about a pound or two a week. I know thid doesnt sound like much, but over time this will add up significantly. The ratio of nutrients that works best for me is 25% fat, 25-30% pro, and 45-50% carbs. I use flax and safflower oil to get essential fatty acids and a boost in calories. Eat lots of high quality protein and try to keep your carbs in the mid to low glycemic range. If you have a super fast metabolism(like i do), then take a day or so a week to eat some things you dont usually eat to give yourself a caloric boost such as pizza and other things. Just make sure to always get your protein requirements. Next thing is to cut your training time down to about an hour and only go 3-4 days a week. I know for the people used to going alot it is tough to cut back in feeling that they arent going to grow as well cause they arent putting in the work, but your body needs time to rest and grow. Your test levels will also drop in a workout thast lasts an extended period of time. Keep your reps in the 6-10 range and like i said train short and hard. Thsi method put over a hundred pounds of bodyweight on me before i ever saw the gear. Try it, be consistent, and get results. kpumpin IP: Logged |
