Dont get me wrong I bust the hell out of my legs. I dont think anything looks sillier than a big ass upper body and little tiny legs supporting it. I just really dont look forward to that dreaded day of the week. Its such a different burn that you just gotta love it, but I still never seem to look forward to it. OH well, I guess thems the breaks.... IP: Logged |

WCP, play a little game with yourself. You have disrespected your legs by not LOVING to train them, your price: you must go in Friday evening and train them. This way you'll be sore all weekend. That is the price you must pay...Of course, I am a little fucked up in the head IP: Logged |

i dont see it...i used to be the same...god i hate legs. i would dread it like you but back then i did so much and it took like 1 1/2 hrs to do it. i was over training...now i do it all in 45 min... i go hardcore and short and not as often and they grow fast now.
good luck, try taking some e/c/a before the workout because if your sluggish you might even debate whether or not you will even go... styles IP: Logged |

I also dread the day I have to load some plates and squat away. Unless I can go sleep for an hour or 2 after. Nothing like that feeling that I'm gonna blow my asshole out, right? IP: Logged |

man i'm the the same boat, I used to hate leg days until about a month ago when I threw up after my 4 heavy sets of squats...After that I learned to love them. People on my baseball team worked out pretty good, but no one ever threw up after squats. I guess I was the lucky one! IP: Logged |

legs workouts are the shit, jump on a bike for 10min after then strech the hell out of them, the next day they'll be fine. i work them to the point where i cant walk after, but that bike really gets the blood flowin and loose. ------------------ IP: Logged |

When I was olympic weightlifting, we worked legs 5 days a week, and 3 times a day. Every day was some variation on a squat or a press. All I have to do now to keep my tree trunk legs is 4 sets of 8 reps of squat per week. Even with light weight (275lb). I am not counting calves since I do those once a week, too. It's just another day in the gym; INTENSIVE! Jon ------------------ IP: Logged |

I hated working my legs so much, I didn't even really start until about a year ago. Talk about top-heavy. I still hate it, but I do get a certain sense of satisfaction when I'm done with my workout. It really made a difference in my upper body as well.

I used to drag a trash can out to by the squat rack cause i knew i was going to have an uncontrollable yack when i got to the intense sets. I still dread it to this day but i feel a great sense of accomplishment when the workout is over, knowing i didnt give in. I talked to Poliquin, Duchaine, and others and nothing helps me from getting nautious during squats. The funny thing is that i moved and now go to a family oriented type gym setting. kpumpin IP: Logged |

Worst part of the leg workout is stripping the plates off the leg press. With ten plates on a side, it's about as much fucking work putting setting it up and taking it down as it is doing the actual set. IP: Logged |

AH, some who share my opinion....I do squat and squat heavy, I have yet to puke, but I get very sickened at the end of my fourth and final set. I use leg extensions, and the leg press also, I work my legs hard, I just hate doing it. Thanx Bros....... PS Isnt it kinda nice though to use the phrase "Ive fallen and I cant get up" after heavy squatting?...lol IP: Logged |

used to be the same with hating legs about 3 years ago. Once my legs started growing and were getting stronger, I love to work them. I look forward to heavy leg days. It is so great being short, having thick motherfucking legs and putting up holy ass loads of weight!! Some people are just awestruck!! It never fails either, my legs are always sore for 2 or 3 days!! The reason i started to lift weight was because i had skinny, slightly bowed legs. I thought that building the inside of my legs would even them out. It helped a little it dosent look so bad now. But i have to admit i love to squat!!!!I puke just about 2 times a month in the gym on leg days. But i LOVE IT!!!!! levi.. IP: Logged |

You know its funny I have never really looked into it, but I wonder why so many lifters get sick to their stomachs when squatting heavy, and why leg soreness lasts so long. I suffer little soreness everywhere else, but the legs always hurt. Its a self masochistic feeling when you welcome that pain and sickness that lets you know you just woke up and destroyed every fiber in your quads and hams... IP: Logged |

I feel your pain. Nothing like getting clowned by your friends because you are waddling around like a duck because you wanted one more rep...lol. but its the game we play. and the benefits we reap, outweigh the snickers and smiles we receive. the benefits? mass yes....but i like the averted gazes at the gym when you are getting finished with that heavy set and all the veins are about to burst out your neck. thats what gets me. lol. keep blasting those wheels, the mass always outweighs the pain.....i think.
