Anyone having any knowledge on this? If one is about to get married and is afraid that a divorce may sting him financially but doesn't want to get a pre-nup would it be legal and work if he put all his assets in his fathers name or a close male friends name? She won't get married with a pre-nup and I want to avoid any horror shows. I don't have much to lose but I do have a house and some things she may want. Thanks for any experiences from you guys or lawyers out there. In Jersey by the way if that helps

I don't know anything about your relationship, but if this is a big problem maybe marriage isn't where you need to be. Just a thought.

talk her into a pre-nump. it's not just about assets, it's about earnings too. besides she'll catch on if you sees you signing stuff into your father's name. a pre-nump is no big deal. I'm not getting married without one, no way. I've heard way to many stories about the guy getting fucked financially. ------------------ quote:

i dont know bro,but if i had any thought of a woman trying to fuck me over or marry me just to take what i have, what i worked hard for all my life, im not so sure i would get married. there has to be trust involved, and you dont want that thought in the back of your head all the time of "is hse gonna take my shit," just be sure this is the right thing to do. |
