A few years ago I went with my GF to NYC and were in Greenwich Village. My GF said that all the guys there where checking me out and a couple kept asking me for directions. Being straight I was kinda naive and had no clue what was going on. Our gay friend back at home says my presence gives off "Zero blips on the gaydar". So my question is do these guys think they can "hook" a straight or curious guy? I laughed my ass off at the whole gaydar thing myself but cant the guys tell Im holding hands with a chick that Im not "playing for other team"? JohnnyO whats your take?? ------------------     | ||

i just think that there are so many closeted people (many with girlfriends) that a lot of gays will see an attractive man and wishful thinking will take over. "just because he's got a girlfriend doesn't mean he's straight" is the thinking... | ||

I have a bud who I fuck with about this very issue. I even have a list. "Why ____ is Gay." Some guys just put out the vibe. He was even hit on at lunch while waiting for his wife to meet him. That one got put at the top of the list. If your GF says you have Gaydar, you have Gaydar! ------------------ | ||

I think it's rude when you hit on someone who you know before hand is not interested in you. Usually I want proof before I will go up to them.. in the form of a wink or smile.. I am told that sometimes I stare at guys, but when I do that I'm not trying to hit on them, I'm just admiring their looks or some other attribute about them. | ||

For me, if a guy is straight, I'm not going to waste my time. If I see a nice looking guy who is straight, I'll think to myself, "nice looking guy" but that's it. I've never hit on a straight guy (however, I've been hit on by "straight" guys). Also, is usually the big, fat, hairy ugly straight guys that think all us gay guys want them so badly. Trust me, there are a lot of great looking gay guys in this world. We don't need to go barking up the wrong tree. You straight guys reading this, if a gay guy shows any interest in you, take it as a compliment. You should be happy that someone else found you attractive and was interested in you. I'd think you'd walk a little taller in your shoes. If you're not interested, he'll pick up on the vibe and move along.

Hi, I always get this happening to me but im as straight as a di...! my girl think's it's funny i dont and what is even more annoying is when guys try and convince you that you are gay i sparked one guy out over this he would just no leave me alone kept pinchin my ass when i was danceing with my girl and grabbin my hips i got thrown out of the club for hittin him...! ------------------ | ||

I'm with JohnnyO on this one. I never even talk to a guy I may be interested in, without a smile or a long look or something from him first. Even in gay bars, where I *know* everyone is gay! Unless someone seems interested, I don't bother, no matter how hot they are. i sometimes get annoyed at gay guys hitting on me when I have given NO indication that I am interested. But chatting is not a crime, so I am polite and they eventually get the correct signals and move on. I tell you, it's rough being so good-looking.  | ||

I never thought of myself as that hot, but now I get really awesome hot bodybuilders hitting on me, even in New York, where they are a dime a dozen, so I must be doing something right! | ||
