It's 1:04 a.m. Pacific time and I can't sleep. I went to bed at 10:00 sharp and have been tossing and turning for three hours and my sheet and blanket were wrapped around my legs like a friggin anaconda. I got up earlier and ate some cereal. No good. Still awake. I ravaged myself real good and then took a really long hot shower. No good. Still awake. This has been going on for several nites now. In all seriousness, has anyone else had more than an occasional nite of insomnia? This is really starting to bother me as I'm tired during the day and becoming a little impatient with people.

5:29am. I am at work, and I have been here since 10:00pm. I can't sleep any more than 5 hours a day. I wish that I didn't have to sleep. Think of how much more shit I could get done. Try laying in bed, get really comfortable, take a couple of really deep and relaxing breaths.... Try to totally relax zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

I have had insomnia for forever now & it really blows. I have tried using drugs to sleep, but they work WAY too well. I cant get up if I take valium, xanaxx, remeron, or ambien. So for me its one or the other; dont sleep at all, or sleep for 3 days straight.

Some people have difficulty sleeping when they are on AS......especially test - I'm not a biologist, so I can't speak about causes or changes in the body that affect sleep....but the introduction of exogenous test does often cause this. Some nights I would sleep like 4 hours and that was it - the next day I would be up and off to work and ready to go......as if I slept 8 hours...and when you're in bed it's like your mind and body are racing and even if you lay there with your eyes closed, tiredness doesn't set in. Like I said, I don't scientifcally know why. But this cycle is in all likelihood the cause of your lack of ability to sleep, and could contribute to your irritability (which lack of sleep compounds). I have seen that 1000 times, although it never really affected me that much. Many guys turn to sleeping pills or other meds - I generally avoid them but then again the problem wasn't bad for me. What usually happened with the people I know is after an initial bout with sleeplessness, lasting a few days, their bodies kind of adjusted to the change and peaceful sleep came once again. If it's been more than a week or 10 days, or if it gets that far, I would consult an expert opinion as to the biological causes (and remedies) for your situation.

Go to my old high school and try to sneak into my old AP Government class. The teacher won't know the difference, all she sees in that class are the tops of students' heads! She can cure insomnia - I'm telling ya. -Warik

i used to get terrible insomnia, sometimes i wouldn't sleep for the whole night. But there are natural ways to encourage sleep. Pasta and potatoes are said to make you sleepy if you eat them. Warm milky substances make you more tired if you drink them in the evening (i.e. WARM MILK!) Making a list before you sleep can help (i.e. what to do next day) Physical activity before you sleep can make you more tired (but i guess your getting enough anyway) A bedside book has been shown to help (eyestrain makes you tired i think) most of these have been proved to help. Hope you get some good sleep in. I get REALLY pissed off if i don't get 7 hours (which is virtually every day) The majority

I was experiencing insomnia very bad at one time.. I shot 1 gram of test for a couple weeks mid cycle and for the next 2-3 weeks after that I couldn't sleep well. Now im almost back to normal. Go buy some Kava Kava. You might have to take twice the recommended dose which is what I did, but I don't see any harm in it if its just for a week or so. I take 2 pills before I go to bed, and now I don't wake up till the next morning.. I use to toss and turn and once I finally fell asleep I would wake up 2-3 times every night, sometimes more. Now its quiet rest and I feel alot better. Of course, im not sure if its the kava kava or the fact that I cut my test dosage back some. Good luck bro. Going without sleep really makes u feel like shit. I can remember getting up in the morning and trying to go to work on 3-4 hours of sleep, I was like a walking zombie. I looked and felt like complete crap!

Thanks guys! I'm going to try to stay away from the sleeping pills for now at least. Will try the other suggested remedies. Thanks again. |
