i have water in my gas tank, and. i know that it isn't due to the gas i put in it, so where can it be coming from. i've had this problem for months now.

should i put methanol in the tank everytime i fill it up, replace the fuel filter, or what? where is the water coming from (as i said, i'm pretty sure it's not the gasoline), and what should i do about it.

your car seems to be holding a little bit of water inside. has your car used anadrol or suspension? i think you could try lasix

I know a fair bit about cars and I don't understand how petrol can get int the tank... but..

1/ Maybe theres a head gasket had blown and it's some how pushing water through the fuel valve and somehow thorough the injectors into the tank (unlikely).

2/ Perhaps the fuel line and a water line pass through the same conduit and both are leaking (very unlikely).

3/ Condensation in the tank... (extremely unlikely).

Anyway, I think this has been no help what-so-ever!

Check the seal of your fuel cap, could be rain getting in.

It is probably shitty gas. Get a new fuel filter, get a bunch of dry gas, use one with a full tank, when it is half empty, use another. Do it until it is better!

I had this problem once. We had to drop the tank and dry it out. My guess is that most gas tanks have a little bit of water on the bottom.
On yachts they use both water seperators and fuel filters...
