This gal, Jennifer is, well gorgeous, at least to me and quite a few others, is to say the least very interested and keeps on hitting on me. I think that when I started working out she then started showing interest. I don't quite know how to ask her out. (She works a pub that I go to) Since there is alot of people there I think I should send her a boquete with a card and ask her out kind of privately God I don't know how to deal with this as I feel that I am in love and God knows I want this kind of relationship in my life. I guess I am a romantic and can't help it. Any ideas would be welcome. She is 30 and I am 44 but I look about 32 or so. [This message has been edited by Laserdude (edited December 11, 2000).]    | ||

If you send roses to the bar everyone is going to ask her where they came from. Go up to her in private and ask her out. Save the roses for after the first date if you really care about her. ARRRGH...first find out if she LIKES roses before you give them to her at ALL....I hate them...I'm not a big flower fan anyway, but when I'd date guys who KNEW I hated roses and still gave them to me that was a sign that they dont care about your preferences, and only do what is the social norm. So find out first!!!! | ||

I'll second Insano's advice...and don't send flowers until you've gone out with her at least once. Go to the pub where she works and ask for a minute of her time and ask her out in private and get her numbers. If she says no then grab the nearest beer mug and throw it into the mirror behind the bar like in the movies. This should get her to reconsider. Once you are out on a first date with her, always remember to start crying at some point during the date. Chicks dig this and it shows you are a sensitive new age guy. Even better, start crying on her shoulder about how nice guys always finish last and about how much you miss your cat. This will lube her like a freshly greased rear differential. I do beleve the Capt. is right. Although she has received flowers at the pub before, it was a birthday thing. I will ask her out when she is not stressing from work. She was way too friendly this morning (breakfast)and I will find the perfect time to ask. Nothing ventured nothing gained. If she says yes, then and only then will I send her flowers, after that who cares what anyone else thinks about it. I have known her for several years and I have to ask her, I can't stand it anymore. The only reason I posted this subject is because I don't want to blow this one. Thanks. | ||
