Yep...that's the question...why? because A-Rod has finally signed with the Texas Rangers for that amount of money over 10 years...about $25million a year...is that crazy or what...just to play baseball too.. man, no wonder i have to pay $100 a ticket to watch the Jays play...and they're nothing in comparison to the yankees or even now, the Rangers..The old timers must be rolling in their graves..You know, that almost equates to about $400million Canadian dollars, although I'm sure in 5 years from now, our dollar will be worth less than what it is now. I think its a crime that a baseball player makes more money than a wrestler..lol..at least in terms of actual work. It doesn't matter to me that Mark Mcgwire can hit 70 home runs...nothin can compare to the millions and millions of fans who chant "Rocky Rocky...over and over again.! Oh yeah...to answer my own question, I'd probably buy my own island, build a mansion equip with a home theater, basketball court, hockey rink, and of course, a huge mofo gym!! Maybe upgrade my car to a Porshe 911 Turbo. That's for mondays. Tuesdays? Ferrari 360spyder. Wednesdays? Toyota Corolla..    | ||

Kat: That's a great idea about the sound studio.. I would place one in my mansion so that each morning, I can wake up and record how old my voice is getting and how bad my music is. But definitely would be fun having a sound studio. | ||

yeah, sports salaries are completely ridiculous nowadays..ESPECIALLY baseball, since there is no salary cap, and they desperately need one....ticket prices are insane, it costs well over 100 bucks for a family of four to goto any sporting event....baseball wonders why their fan base is declining... ~leaf~ | ||

You know, it amazes me the amount of people that bitch and complain about athletes' salaries, yet they go right home and flick on the t.v. to watch them play. Hello? Our demand for these people is what creates their salaries! DUH? If you don't like it, then don't watch them anymore, don't buy their merchadise, and don't go to their games! So, don't complain about how much they make if you are a sports fan because you are contributing to it!! LOL! I have no room to complain about what they make because I love sports and will continue to watch them until I die. I don't agree with their compensation in relation to the importance of their roles in the world, but I contribute to it, so I can't really say anything. | ||
