A few of you had made the remark that WE ALL FEEL JEALOUSY AND ENVY (the two words are synonyms) when I had stated earlier that I was jealous of no one. I had said that there were MANY, MANY individuals that I did, however, ADMIRE. It would seem that my comments had been misconstrued. Perhaps there was a perception that by making such a statement I was somehow elevating myself above all other women. NOTHING could be further from the truth.....as many of you who KNOW me already are privy do this knowledge. But for those who DO NOT, allow me to help you with a little vocabulary lesson. From Webster's New World Dictionary: envy 1. discontent and ill will over another's advantages, possessions, etc. admire 1. to regard with wonder and delight 2. to esteem highly. So for those of you who still believe that it is IMPOSSIBLE for a human to be jealous of no one, yet admire many, and be truthful w/him or herself as well as with others, I suggest you go back and reread ALL OF MY POSTS before jumping to conclusions. I believe in lifting others as I attempt to lift myself to higher levels, both physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I take no pleasure in knocking others down in order to try and make myself feel better. ------------------     | ||

I feel like you are in NO WAY a jealous person...The people who have accused you of such ridiculous things are idiots, plain and simple. You have taken the time to help me when I had questions, motivate me when I was down, make me laugh, but most of all you are an inspiration to all of the other women on here that have had children. You give them hope that YES they too can have "it all" b/c you my dear, do have "it all"...You SHOULD be proud of yourself and for those on this board that have a problem with your confidence...well FUCK EM!!! | ||

very good post bikinimom! i don't find myself to be jealous over any one persons achievements, or possessions. i am secure with my success and my being. secure with who i am as a man. some people confuse arrogance with confidence. i find bikinimom as a very confident woman. her comments are bold and from the heart. she is honest. if any person on this board has a problem with bk, then you more than likely have a problem with yourself and bikinimom you do not have to explain yourself to one single person on this board. ------------------ | ||

BM - just let me say, that you have in no way, ever come across as better than anyone else. There is EVERY reason for you to be proud of your accomplishments. I have seen you brag on others many, many times. I should know There is a difference between conceit and confidence. The difference lies in the approach you take. Bikinimom, as you can see, I've only been a member here for a short time. I really don't know anything about you except for what I've managed to pick up from your recent postings. (not really interested enough to search and read 2000+ posts) I'm honestly not here to stir things up or to purposely offend anyone. As you obviously already know, you have an incredible amount of support from the members here at elite. As an intelligent woman, I'm sure you will understand the perspective of myself and several other "newbies" here at the board. First of all, as far as I have seen in my short time here, you are the only person to display your own photo each and every time you post. Perhaps you post your pic to show off the hard time you've put in at the gym or how carefully you've planned and stuck to your diet, or whatever. Please don't take this is a flame or a cheap shot, but to some people that don't know you this appears to display vanity. My second point refers to your goddess-like status over here at elitefitness. To us newbies, it looks like you can't break wind without 20 people hopping to their terminals to be the first to tell you how good it smells. Maybe it's merely due to your popularity or the respect the members have for you, but I've noticed that you have a tendency to turn the focus of attention toward yourself. Again, I want to stress that I'm only basing these ideas on what I've observed during my short time here at elite. I figure that I will either get no response from this post or I will have 100 board members all over this post scolding me for disrespecting you. Perhaps I've misinterpreted your posts and responses to others - but I get the dinstinct impression that I am not the only person to have this point of view. I'm sure you will not take this personally or as an attack on your character, but as constructive criticism and an explanation. ------------------ | ||
