they are dead set on manhattan...it took some of my other friends there weeks, sometimes months, to find an affordable dive...you know, 5th floor walk up brownstone...lower east side... anybody else, im looking for time frames on average... | ||

If they are looking in the upper west or upper east, forget it. You really are talking a five floor walkup, tiny kitchen, no dining area, two bedroom the size of hall closets, you can get a bed and night stand in and that is it. And it will still be about $2000 per month. And if they have a car, add on another $600-800 per month to park the car below. My girlfriends place is at 57th and Broadway, it is near the top of the building, overlooking Central Park. About 2200 square feet. Very nice, we go there a weekend about three months or so. A pointless waste of money if you ask me. | ||
