This just seems like the media's opinion on gay people, it's like everything is about sex and their all perverts. Will some of our gay friends comment please....JohnnyO and May1010. ------------------     | ||

Well... we don't really have a traditional family life. We don't have children, and more importantly we don't have the expense of children. So.. what do we do with the extra money and extra time? We go to the bars and clubs to spend and socialize with people of our own kind. And we don't have the sexual damper effect that women bring. Pregnacy is never an issue. Not all.. but a lot of us separate sex and love. For instance even though I've been in a relationship for 11 years we've both fooled around lots of times, together and apart, simply because that is what guys do and we accept that as part of the relationship to start. Very few women would go for that. So to the outsider.. it looks like we are very slutty, but really we're free and just having fun. | ||

Actually, a gay friend of mine explained it to me once in a way that makes pefect sense. He said "Hey -we're guys!" Let's face it, if hetero women were as indiscrete as guys, people would be banging in the streets all day long! | ||

Of course not that I do that very often... haha.. the last one that did it (in June), had several piercings down there. I was VERY scared but he was quite the gentleman and it didn't really hurt but the metal feels really different. Pulling it out afterwards was a bitch however. | ||

i think we gay people ARE oversexual, but i agree that the fact that we're guys is a big part of it. plus, the entire gay subculture revolves around sex...the bars and clubs are the center of gay life. one of the reasons i hate going to any gay function is that the conversation TOTALLY centers around who's sleeping with whom or who's going to which circuit party, etc. gay people are so shallow.... | ||

Some are, and I think that is the reason why I am homophobic. Im sorry, I dont want to get flamed, but I am just speaking the truth. I have had a couple of gay friends who once you get to know them are very cool, but when I dont know someone Im always afraid they are gonna try to make a move or something. Yea you will say Im not secure with my sexuality, but I dont think being comfortable around gays has anything to do with it. Nick | ||

I agree that it's mostly the math (guy+guy=lots of sex). My straight brother was visting recently and went out to some strip clubs for fun to *watch* the women and maybe get a lap dance (woo hoo). I told him what it was like at the gay bar I go to (one of the crusier ones--some are less so). He was like "Jeez, it would be like I went to a bar and it was all women and most of them were hot and wanted to have sex with me." I had never thought of it that way. I actually think he was jealous. I felt so lucky!  |
