Taking another humans life is never something to take lightly Whether in war or protecting yourself, I don't think there are many people who are proud of that ultimate act, although it was necessary to protect them or a friend from harm. No, It was on a 50 cal mounted on a tripod. He was serving counter sniper at a fire base. It was 2500 yards I believe. I could be wrong. He was and is a legend but several vets came out with more. Just not as many confirmed as him. Joseph T. Ward - had a good deal and an awesome book. Dera Mom a Snipers Vietnam. Blood on the Risers - by John Leppleman I have been shot at.
