It was truly a good source of info, but it's sad that they hyped supplements that don't work, or at the most don't measure to the hype. I supported them at the beginning, but after a ton of money I got sick of spending supplement money I could have used on gear. Anyway, kudos to a good source of info, may it rest in peace when it kicks the bucket... ------------------

The day Poliquin left I knew they were losing it. I wasted 12 weeks following those pussy backwards Ian King workouts. Still pissed about all the muscle I lost. Only thing I will thank them for is the tip on disolving fina in the androsol solution. It seems to work better than DMSO at least.

I agree. The day poliquin left marked their demise. Hey Hugh, quick question: Did he androsol work on you by itself? and how did you lose muscle on an Ian King workout? ------------------

I made some size gains on the androsol itself, but I think it might have had more to do with dramatically increasing my caloric intake during the two weeks. The nice thing about the androsol is that in two weeks it did not disrupt my natural test at all, and I actually made the best strength gains the two weeks after. When I used the finasol the strength gains were much much more dramatic, but my nuts were put a bit offline after just three weeks on cycle. Next time I am going to use the tren for a longer cycle and then use clomid, getting inhibition from just a short cycle was really not worth it. As for the Ian King stuff, I followed the lower and upper body programs to the cue, and even though it was signifigantly less volume than I was used to (In the past I have responded best to lots of low rep sets done explosively), I still ended up overtrained. I believe the way in which the programs are set up does not work well with the way your muscular and nervous systems adapt. King has nervous system potentiating stress techniques like 1-6 done for three consecutive weeks, followed by three weeks of relitively wussy training. The Russians have known for decades that maximal stressing of the nervous system on any given lift should not be done on a weekly basis. Fred Hatfield integrated these concepts into his powerlifting periodization systems, which alternated intensity and type of stress on a WORKOUT BY WORKOUT basis (anyone who trains OL knows it is done this way too). By breaking his programs into 3 week blocks, I believe King is merely catering to convienience and T-mags publishing schedule. In his program I had to hold back on workouts one and two to see progression in workout three. By the time I got to workout three of each cycle I was already sick of doing the exact same thing every week anyway. I liked learning some new lifts on the program, but the fact that I lost 15lbs of muscle on it (while eating like crazy the whole time) really ticked me off. Maybe the programs are good for slow twitch dominant people or begginers, but they sucked for me (and believe me, I gave it my all for 12 weeks). Poliquin's and Hatfield's info is much better. Those two have also trained many more world class athletes than King has.
