Okay, I'll admit it, I don't understand why you Yanks celebrate Turkey day on Thurday. What's up with this. Friday, Sunday, Monday fine, But Thursday, please explain. You have a Holiday on Thursday eat, eat, eat and drink, drink, drink and then you have to go back to work on Friday? How many people actually work on Friday. What a fucked up day to have a Holiday. | ||

I think most of them have Friday off as well...it's a bigger deal to them than us. They don't get boxing day, so they make up for it at Thanksgiving. | ||

I'm going to eat, just not yet... tho I do work on Fri, a lot of people don't and it's the biggest shopping days of the year. I'm told I don't have a Texas accent yet, since I'm originally from New Orleans. | ||

Boxing Day is the 26th of December...I think English people celebrate it as well...it's OUR biggst shopping day...we get 25th and 26th of December off. Boxing Day sales are unbelievable sometimes..people lined up downt he street outside stores...crazy shiat. | ||

Boxing day: the day you box up stuff to return to stores??? Hmm, and they question Thanksgiving on thursday?? JohnnyO: Well, damn! I got a little Creole in my veins, too! Yup, pretty much...that's how it started...packing up the stuff from Xmas, returning to the stores...whatever. I like it...gives an extra day to work off my Xmas hangover...and our Thanksgiving is on a Monday, so most people eat and drink on the Sunday, and nurse their hangovers on Monday...we like it! | ||
