It didnt work out. Especially if youre competing! They just cant understand, they can relate and they have no frame work in which to place your dedication and compare it to their own life. They feel like they come second to the gym (well...), and I wont even bring up meals and dieting habits... but if you get someone who is involved in the lifestyle too!!! ------------------

well, currently djane does NOT work out.. feel free to give her hell... i do understand though because she is active... she just finished her senior year of college soccer and had the big 3 weeks off before her tennis practices start... so she is still athletic, but not fitness style... YET!!!!!!!!!!!!1 ------------------

What monster siad is exactly right. If they don't work out the relashionship dosn't work out. They just can't comprehend what kind of sacrifices must be made to relize goals like these. They look at the lifestyle as being bizzare instead of dedicated. All of the girls I have met think you just lift and leave it at that. When they see how in depth diet, rest and training really are they see you in a different light. Most of the time they don't see the desire and pasion. They see a selfish and almost deranged person. If they understand what it takes it makes things a lot smoother. ------------------

The heaviest things the BF lifts are his drumsticks, drums and beer. Actually, most times Im hauling the drums, so that's only some of the time he lifts anything heavier than beer, sticks, and...oh yeah, his dick.

Guess I am lucky. Met my gf of nearly 2 years at the gym. Common bond. Hey, we both love to deadlift too. She hates machines, like me, but loves cardio (ughhhh!!!). Great woman. She also understands my desire to, ummm, ahhh, grow. Gear, I mean, my cattle use gear. B True

My girl works out, and looks great. I got her into training and diet, and she has made leaps and bounds. However, many of her friends perceive me as "arrogant" and "obsessed" regarding the lengths one must go to achieve in diet, training and supplementation. One of her friends had a poster of some BB, and at the bottom it said......"somewhere, somebody is sick of this guy's crap". So yes, we are most definitely discriminated against. LOL No surprise there. Anyone that accepts mediocrity on a daily basis, they just don't get it. delts ------------------ |
