CHEST DAY TODAY....NOT EVEN FEELING WITH IT OFF THE GET GO,BUT I MAKE IT TO THE GYM ANYWAY.LOAD UP THE BAR WITH 275 FOR 10....GET NINE CLEAN LAST ONE I START TO STRUGGLE...FUCKING SPOTTER JUST STANDS THERE LEAVING ME TO FORCE THAT REP UP.USUALLY I CAN DO THIS SO HE FIGURES I HAVE IT.....FUCKER NEARLY LETS ME DROP IT ON MY FORHEAD.....2 OTHER GUYS HAD TO RUN OVER AND LIFT THAT FUCKER OFF ME.I DO A FEW MORE SETS....INTENSITY IMMEDIATELY KILLED AFTER THAT.....SO I LEAVE...FIGURE ILL HIT CHEST AGAIN ON THURSDAY.....ANY OF YOU HAVE STORIES LIKE THIS...OR ANY STORIES ABOUT GETTING HUNG UP.

Heheheheh here's a good one. One time, back near when I first started training, I was benching 135 on the incline. I unracked it....BAM! Right into my forehead. Couldn't get the fucker up either. I was pinned sideways against the bench 'til Special Bill pranced from the cardio room in his pink leg warmers and managed to help me roll it off.

that sucks bro.... I usually work out alone..since my elbow problems (almost healed now) I only go up to 275 for 5..used to do 10 with no spotter and not worry..last workout I barely got the 5th one... I would of had to do the old "push and pull" method of spotting..if ya know what I mean.. LOL BTW..that is why I never use collars on the end of the bars....

I very rarely do forced reps anymore, because when I was a junior in high school I was doing a heavy set and on the 3rd rep, I got stuck. The spotter was watching a football game on a TV set in the corner of the room and I had to yell out for him to help. I sprained my shoulder doing it and very rarely will do another rep that I know that I will need assistance on.

We all have days like that bro. Now when i have any hesitation or just an inkling that things won't come together in the gym i don't show. I used to show up and try and work through it but i would end up just leaving anyway. If your head isn't in it, don't bother. Just stay home rest up and come back the next day you are ready to go balls to the wall.

WELL, ABOUT A YEAR AGO I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A GREAT CYCLE, I WAS GAINING LIKE CRAZY... SO I FINISH CHEST AND THOUGHT, DAMN I WANNA GET MORE PUMP... SO I DID 21'S ON THE INCLINE BENCH.... WELL IF YOU DO THESE YOU KNOW YOU DO HALF REPS FOR 7, HALF REPS FOR 7 AND THEN FULL REPS... GREAT PUMPS... I GOT TO 6 OF EM AND BOOM, THAT BAR WAS ON ME... IT WAS ONLY 135 BUT I COULDNT BUDGE IT, I WAS CRAMPING AND FULL OF BLOOD... COULDNT MOVE.. SO I ROLLED THE BITCH TO MY WASTE AND STOOD UP... GOD THAT WAS HUMILIATING CUZ PEOPLE WERE LOOKING AT ME LIKE "WHAT A BIG PUSSY, HE CANT DO THAT WEIGHT?"

Days like that are the days that I just go in and hit a machine and cable workout -- take it easy. Either that or just don't go -- better to undertrain than overtrain... Usually I just take it as a sign my body needs more recuperation time.

Steele Blast, I had a day like that this morning in fact. I went in to do arms, and I just wasn't into it. I don't even know why, but I just cringed at the thought of being there this morning. I felt like shit, I was tired and just wanted to sleep!

On days like those, you shouldn't even go. It is a total waste to just go through the motions as I did this morning.

I have those days now and then....try this next time it happens..as soon as you realize it's gonna be like that go directly to the squat rack for a set of 20 breathing squats..
you will either get very motivated to get back to business or very fucking wiped out.If you are spent after squats at least you got the absolute most you were gonna get out of your time.
