First of all it is a cheap knock off of the Zoroastrian holiday of winter solstice. Second I do not remember Jesus being born within 3000 miles of a Christmas tree (which was a German addition). Finally the present giving is a knock off of the Jewish tradition of Hanukkah. What do you really have? I commercialized nothingness. You might as well call it Festivus since it has no real religious meaning. Oh yeah and Jesus was born about a week or so later than Christmas.

I agree that Christmas is not a Christian holiday... it's originally Saturnalia, where good Romans gave gifts to each other. It's clearly documented after Constantine when Saturnalia gave way to Christmas. And shepards don't sleep outside with their flock in December... I go for March or April.

Yep. jebus was probably a gemini, born sometime in the mid june, to late july period, at least that is what the astronomy charts indicate. And so what? It is a time when people at least try and like each other! ------------------
