I watched it last night and maybe I am retarded...but did that guy actually kill all those people or is he so fucked he thinks he did?     | ||

From watching the movie only, I would say he didn't as of the time the movie ended -- just fantasized or was delusional about it. But I think it was implied that he was GOING to... that all of the delusions were working up to the actual act... | ||

From reading the book I believe some of them were delusions and some of them were real. For instance the part where he killed those police officers by shooting their gas tank. After he blew up the car he looked at his gun in amazement. He knew there was no way he could have done that in real life so he imagined it. For everyone that saw the movie you have to read the book. It'll be worth your time. | ||

i don't think he actually did it, i think it was trying to show how people that are 'normal' on the outside (ie...work as businessmen, etc...) actually have sick delusional fantasies ~leaf~ | ||

I think leaf is right on the money. They want to give the "American Psycho". The person who appears to lead a normal life, but has fantasies of murders and death. That was the whole point of the movie to show the psycho in everyone. Nick | ||
