Well they do look good. But my Bud has a Red Dobe not cropped, and she looks good too. Your decision Bro. I have heard of some going nuts, from being able to hear too many sounds with ears not blocking sound. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I have two boxers and I got one of em cropped. There are pro's and con's they are less likely to tear there ears if they are cropped. But it is easier for them to get infections ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'd crop em. Dobe's just don't look right with big floppy ears. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Just like now in Europe. It is illegal to dock tails. And crop ears. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Here's my 2 cents...I've assisted in crops myself at the hospital I worked at....its a lot of stress for merely cosmetic purposes...however, we gave great pain killers....I personally think all Mini Pins look retarded without a crop (kinda look retarded either way but...) Dobes I prefer with crops as well, Pitts and Boxers I think look better without crop (even if it isn't the breed standard) But i have seen dogs with kinda shakey personalities go thru with the crop and turn out more shakey and does not socialize well and is even more affraid So......If you dogs personality is good, comfortable around all situations, and you get a good vet (some do a horrible horrible job cosmetically, not to mention with the pain meds and post op....so get references) and you like it then go for it ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

But be prepaired for one of those E Collars ("space dome")doggies don't like those and can easily break alot of things in your house with it...so you need to move things that can knock over out of the range of this Elizabethan Collar. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

SHAGS, MY VET RAISED DOBES AND HAS PICTURES OF CROPS HE HAS DONE... HE IS EASILY THE BEST VET I HAVE EVER HAD... MY DOBE BEFORE HAD A TERRIBLE CROP, BUT SHE WAS FINE... GREAT PERSONALITY ON HER AND ON THE ONE I HAVE NOW. VERY OUT GOING AND AFFECTIONATE. THE STRESS WORRIES ME, WHICH I THINK IS WHY I AM HAVING SECOND THOUGHTS... BUT SOMETIMES WHEN I LOOK AT HER I SEE BIG ASS FLOPPY EARS TAKING AWAY FROM HER STREAMLINED BODY... YA KNOW? IT JUST DOESNT LOOK RIGHT... COULD BE WORSE, COULD BE A WEINREIMER. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
