WHAT THE FUCK, WHEN I GOT HER SHE HAD COCCIDEA AND HOOKWORM, AND LOW AND BEHOLD SHE HAS THE SAME SYMPTOMS AGAIN... TOOK HER BACK TO THE VET AT LUNCH AND WILL FIND OUT SOON I HOPE... THIS SUCKS, I AM BROKE AS IT IS AND THIS ISNT GOING TO HELP.     | ||

My Rottie did the same thing. Had the flaming shits for a day and a half,. Luckily he was trained at the time. Certain food s are deadly for dogs. They include onions, choclate and a few others. The vet called it "dietary indescretion" - fancy term for a tummy ache. Knowing her history, it was a good move to get her checked by the vet. We keep Pepcid, Tums and Pepto around for such occasions. Try not to worry until you hear from the vet. Keep us (me) posted. If nothing comes back postive | ||

Well that is good news. Almost any OTC tummy remedy can be given to dogs, as long as you make adjustments for bodyweight. Immodium works well in dogs as well. As long as she can get into food other than her own, this will probably continue. | ||

Use some pepto. And I hope you feed a good food. Like Nutro, Pro Plan, Shur Gain. Anything else is not fit for a Dog. I feel sorry for dogs eating crap. You get what you pay for. Nutro has Chrono,Glucosamine for Joints, And a whole lot more. If she has same symptoms, it sounds like the vet fucked up the first time. The only thing that a dog will get from eating human food is Healthy. Unless you feed too much junk. My Rottie gets the odd chocolate chip cookie. It doesn't hurt them in moderation. | ||

MB: Sorry to hear that man. It sucks when pets are sick cause they can't tell you whats exactly wrong w/ them. My knee could hurt and I can tell my doc thats whats botherin me. My cat could have a sore throat (example) and can't say a damn word. Find out what the girl had to eat that night and what they threw out. Hope she gets better fast. ------------------ | ||

Sorry to see you feed your dog crap. How would you like it if I forced you to eat road kill, and Horse. Man do a little research on the web. Eukanuba, IAMS, Science Diet, is SHIT. Sorry all that adveritising got to your head. But Scinece Diet Sucks. Vets are paid to endorse that shit, The vets up here finally got it off the shelves. I guess they finally felt guilty for getting paid to sell a SHITTY product. Sure if you want your dog to live only a few years feed it whatever you can find, if you think of your pet as a family member. Treat it like one. | ||

Hey kool-aid, are you a vet? My girlfriend is a Vetinary Tech and has been for aobut 14 year and recomends Iams, and no one has brain washed her. We feed our dogs, (Great Danes and Neopolitan Mastiffs) Iams, Eukenuba, Purina. All of my dogs have had healthy coats, long lives especially for large breeds, and are quite happy and rarely if ever get sick. We will also, be showing dogs at some point in the future. Hey, you might want to make sure your pup doesn't have parvo or kennel cough. Has your vet checked for these things and is she up on her shots? Has she been around other dogs or cats? | ||

Well Actually my GSD is Show. And my Rottie is just too nice to feed Iams. Hey if you feel fine feeding your dog Iams Go for it. I am just saying do some research, you'll be surprised. For none Dog people GSD = German Shepherd Dog Depends on if you want the best. Hey I would feed Iams over ALPO. But I would feed Nutro , Pro Plan , Shur Gain. Over anything else. | ||

first off, speak like a normal person dont just start spewing shit... tell someone what kind of differences you have read about or maybe recommend a website... i will look into the brands you mentioned, but to let you know there are other ways to tell someone you disagree with their food of choice instead of telling them they are mistreating their dog. | ||

MB Hehhe. Yeah I have been hunting for the website I had found last year. First thing for all you guys to do is read the Ingredients. Stuff like Poultry By Products are BAD. Corn is BAD. Corn Gluten Meal is OK. http://www.nutroproducts.com Read the ingredients for their Large Breed. and compare it to IAMS. My GF is supervisor of a Pet Store. So for one week I read all the bags of Dog Food and compared them. Nutro by far is the best. Nutro Natural Choice Large Breed. | ||

dont sweat it Madbomber, when I first got my kitten 5 months ago, she had a cold, and roundworm. Then she was fine after a month of handfeeding her medication. But then she got another fucking cold like 2 months later, I don't know what it is about pups and kittens but its nothing to worry about. ------------------ | ||

well, the thing that panics me is parvo... dobes and rotts catch it far easier then other pups, and when i see blood or mucus instead of shit, i get freaked. vet isnt worried about parvo due to how she acts, very outgoing, non lethargic fun dog... KOOL AID, if i start getting phone calls remember i have your address actually, i am gonna look into a small bag of the natural choice... if non pet stores carry it i may switch, but if i can only get it at pet feed prices it will wait a while.. i can get iams at walmart or kroger for 14 bucks for a 20lb bag, its 22 dollars at the pet feed places... i am not a big fan of the glucosamine and chondroiton, i believe those are just in their for "price jack ups", if i want the pup to have the stuff i have a TON of it at home already. | ||

ACTUALLY, SHE WILL LIKELY BE AROUND 70-80 SIRE WAS 95 SOLID... MY OLD DOBE WAS MERELY 10LBS AT 10 WEEKS!!! SHE GOT UP TO 68LBS... I WILL PUT UP SOME MORE RECENT PICS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS... THE VET HAS RAISED MANY DOBES AND SAYS SHE IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST GIRLS HE HAS SEEN. SHE IS THE SIZE OF THE MALES FROM THE LITTER NOW...
