Alright, that was a bit of a dramatic title for my question, but it's important to me. I have been tanning in the Dr. Mueller 'Orbit' beds for about a year now. I have noticed no damage on my skin but it does worry me. It seems logical that like everything, the tanning beds are only dangerous when abused. I only go once a week in the winter time...how dangerous can this really be? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I've been going tanning, faithfully, for a year now. My logic, however twisted I have made it to suit me, is that the environment around me is dangerous, so, what's the diff? I think of all the years I never wore sunscreen...it's abit late now to be careful.....one thing I don't like about tanning beds is wrinkling before my time....but, wth.....think of all the things that are around you that can kill you.......some lady told me once her son had testicular cancer and that it was brought on by his use of a tanning bed......sure it the tanning bed didn't help, but, it sure as hell didn't cause his cancer.......my grandfathersmoked when he was a teen and had quit before his teen years were over, then when he was like 80, he had developed lung cancer......did his smoking as a teen cause it? genetics?? anyhow..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Poeple who tan heavily look like shit by the time their wrinkled asses reach 40. Tanning as you describe sounds fine. I only use sunscreen on my tats. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think there's alot more factors involved here, but, part of it does have to do with how often you tan. Some weeks I don't go at all, other weeks I go twice.....if i'm stressed, I go more often......at the new gym i'm going to now, they've got a nice stand-up machine in the freakin change room!! I can feel the skin cancer coming!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I tan on average once a week or more. I do have cancer, but I was born that way. My sign is cancer, so there it is not fatal. So get over it! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
