I am a young white male that works my ass off to take care of my family. And yes I voted for BUSH! You liberals live in a fantasy world. You say the Dems. have a good health care plan? Well I say BITE ME I pay $620 per month for a family of 3! Dems. are better for the middle class workers?I say BLOW ME! Dems always mean higher taxes! Dems. as good role models or good morals ? Please see BLOW ME.I could go on but unlike most that voted for Gore I have to get some work done.     | ||

Is there any truth to Bush wanting to lower minimum wage? Someone told me this in their reasoning for wanting to vote Gore. ------------------ | ||

That was never mentioned in any debates or in anything that I read, and I'm sure that such a serious issue would have been mentioned in the debates. Besides, under Bush's tax plan, people making under a certain income won't have to pay any taxes at all, why lower minimum wage to cause more people to fall into that category? -Warik | ||

Good point Warik; I just wanted to make sure. I guess its one of those lies people use to try to get you to sway in your decision making. My little step-sister's teacher told her class that Bush wanted to make the school week 6 days in attempt to get them against Bush and try to make their parents think the same way. Its pretty dumb when ya think about it but it does happen alot. When I was in 6th & 8th grade (my 7th grade teacher wasn't like this) teachers constantly tried to cram their views down our throats any way they could just as long as we started to agree w/ them. ------------------ | ||

Minimum wage is essentially pointless anyway. Its a federal law they talk about, and its up to the state what wage to set. Texas is real low and other places have real high minimum wages, it doesnt really matter what the president babbles about the minimun wage, it has no bearing over states. |
