Who pays for must of the things during the relationship? Do you because you want to or do you get suckered in to it. Does she because you're that damn good??? I have figured out this much I am dating multiple women and the ones that are very pretty and in to themselves, 9 times out of 10 they wait for you (the Guy) to pay. This causes a lot of controversy with me! The less attractive ones pay for me all of the time without much resistance. It's kind of expected. Almost like I am the trophy they are trying to attain. Little do they know that I am giving the "Frothy Walrus" to someone else a half an hour after they drop me off. What are your past experiences with paying for shit in a relationships??? ------------------     | ||

i pay... at least at first, and then it became pretty mutual... sometimes i pay, sometimes she does... i would say i pay more, but when i was jobless and fucked, she picked up a bill or two... and the little trick gets me gifts, just picks up a calander, or a cd, or whatever... kinda works both ways. i am willing to guess that most in a relationship that is working for the most part do something like this. | ||

I always offer...but they usually pay. I have asked a guy out once.....and he wanted to pay...but when he went to the rest room I gave the waiter my credit card...I feel if I ask you out I pay....but after all that the guy didn't even put out...men!!  | ||

Not to get in hot water with the ladies on the board, but I very seldom pay. I don't mean to sound like I am bragging, but the thing with being involved with a multi millionaire when you are 25 and just finishing your college, is that in reality, you can't pay for all the stuff. Or even some of it. I did make the efforts to take her to dinner when I could have afforded it last year and since starting working now, I do so more often. But theater tickets, weekends at the opera in NYC, European and Caribbean vacations, new clothes, new car,etc... that was all out of my financial means at the time. And to be honest, I felt like such a leech for accepting things from her. Until I saw how badly it hurt her when I declined them. But it is all about the heart connection between two people that it doesn't matter who picks up the check. The first Christmas together - two months after we had been dating - she got just as much joy out of the sweater I gave her as I did the Rolex she gave me. Sometimes, if the effort is true and not just lazy, it won't matter if the men pay all the time or the lady does. | ||

Pauly and I have been seriously dating for 16 months, and he usually pays for the most part of it. But I like to pay also....I believe that it should basically be a 50/50 thing. If you're comfortable in your relationship, totally into the other person, its only common courtesy that things s/b 50/50. Just to show you how great of a g-friend I am, I always ask him if he needs anything when I'm out running errands....and I never ask for him to give me the $ for it. If he goes out w/ his friends, I like to give him a little x-tra $ to spend. Its probably because I love him so much, but its always a nice gesture. He sometimes give me a little $ too when I go out..... Now, if you're just dating....I think most women EXPECT the man to pay all of the time, which I absolutely think is ridiculous. Women start to take advantage of this after awhile, and then the men start to regret always spending the money and wonder where it all went.
