The whole racist thing is learned and is extremely sad. Why is it that you can put a bunch of everyday dogs in a room and they won't fight even if they don't know each other but put a bunch of people, who vary in skin pigmentation, in a confined area and all hell breaks loose? | ||

There will never be 100% political correctness, and this needs to be accepted. We need to let actions speak more so than words, and learn to take ourselves less seriously. White will tend to think whites are slightly better. Blacks will tend to think blacks are slightly better. Asians will tend to think asians are slightly better...this is healthy. We all need to be proud of who we are, and accept eachother for how we are alike and how we are different. But in the end, judge by each individual. | ||

I agree that "racism" isn't really provoked by skin color, but rather by culture. Otherwise why don't we have people who hate people with blue eyes, or who hate redheads? It's not skin color, it's culture. Some cultures seem to promote values and behaviour which some people find abhorrent. If it were all about skin color, why are Jews persecuted and disciminated against??? (Hint: If it were solely about religion, Hitler would have let Jews who converted to Xtianity live, but he killed them, too.) ------------------ | ||

I assume when most of you speak of racism, you speak of Whites degrating blacks. I don't remember who it was on Jay Leno last month, but it was a prominant black author who was preaching that Blacks were ALOT more racist than Whites. Personally I agree with this 100%, Just look at Al Sharpton, that guy hates white people and millions of black people support him. The author claimed that he "was embarrased by some of his people" because "life is unfair" and if you do not get your way then you should not blame it on the color of your skin like many black people do. He says that Affirmative Action is wrong, as do I, AA is reverse discrimination, there is no other way to put it, its unconstitutional and its complete bullshit. You will not see racism unless you visit a KKK meeting. Racism is over dramatized and overplayed. I'm tired of hearing bullshit like "WELL, YOU HAVE NEVER BEEN IN MY SHOES, YOU DON'T KNOW HOW IT IS" FUCK THAT, THIS IS THE YEAR 2000, NOT THE WILD WEST OF 1850, GET OVER IT, LIFE IS HARD!!!!!!!!! People need to stop looking for an excuse to why they fialed, when I applied to college, I got rejected by several, I guess its cause I'm white Also, why are white people afraid to say the word "Black" I think it was Flex B and Whole show who said they want to be called a black man, not an African American because they are from America, not Africa, I understand, but why is it wrong to say black. Dennis miller was referring to Daunte Culpepper the other day and you hear him say, "Daunte and Jeff King are two prominant BL..African American Quarter backs", its like he stopped himself from saying a bad word, WTF??????? Right on the money Natymike. The black author you speak of is Larry Elder. Buy his book, I can tell by your views that you will love it. I've read 150 pages in 2 days, got about 150 to go. That's how good a book it is. It is also good to support a great Libertarian that tells the truth. | ||
