I posted this in another thread over at AnandTech forums, this proves Larry Elder's point more than anything. Me: The NAACP is a joke. Affirmitive action says "we think minorities are inferior" essentially. Funny how blacks support the people that bring them down. I am there for you, bro. I was just doing some reading and keeping an eye on the election. "Debate" is the language of the enlightened and "insult" is the language of the ignorant. A wise man once said, "We fear what we do not understand". The previous statement has macro and micro connotations and in this case, they did not understand your neutral (yet debatable statement) and let their emotions get the best of them. All they could muster was what they learned from the media and some random and archaic information. You are using nuclear weapons and they are throwing sticks at you. It is not even fair. d1734, you are a fucking racist. umm I didn't mean that, I think Affirmative action is very necessary, in simple terms, there are A LOT less Black College graduates in the USA than whites, Most of corporate America is white, why not do our best to ensure that the few(in conparison to the whites) Blacks who where fortunate enought to go to college, actualy get a job! You read my post, "you reap what you sow" you make the call. (PS: to all those of you who are history illiterate or just have selective memorie, yes treating a somebody any different because of their race is wrong!!! your forefather should have thought about that back when Blacks where treated like property and second rate citizens, and that isn't ancient history, its only been 40 years since the first all white schools in the south where intergrated. | ||

One last thing before I retire to bed. You phrased your sentence in a way that automatically put them on the defensive. It was more of a statement than a thought provoking question. Finally, these are people who need to be spoon-fed facts and information as they go along (because God knows that some people can't even combine two facts to form a intelligent thought on their own). In short, no facts were given (that fit into their belief system) so no intelligent responses. In fact no attempt at anything logical. | ||

Oh, and if I make a 3.8 GPA with a 1400 SAT I should get the college scholarship over a minority with a 3.0 GPA and 1100 SAT, period. PS: I got in the 1200s on my SAT, and had an ok GPD(eventhough I can't spell to save my life) and I had to turn down a schoolarship, since I was still a green card alien, taking any form of finacial aid(schoolarship) from the governmetn would have made me inelegible to become a citizen for another 3-5 years. I guess the USA government doesn't want someone to become a citizen unless they can support themselves, so we can work an pay taxes for the fucking bums on welfare. | ||

It was the black man in Africa that sold the Black slaves to the white man....And my father did not "own" any slaves as neither did my grandfather (who is 80) so why the hell should I be punished for something that happened years before my time??? Affirmative Action creates more racial tension..like d1734 said..how can a minority with a lower score and lower qualifications be taken before him??
