I remember first learning about that in high school... it pissed me off. I mean, what's the point of voting, then? My teacher then told us that the Electoral College has never voted contrary to the majority vote in the state. Can anyone confirm that? If it's true, at least we know that our votes matter... even if it is indirectly. ------------------ -Warik | ||

They are called faithless votes and I believe the article said that there have been seven of those. But I find it strange in this dayand age of technology and such that we still rely on the antiquated method of voting. Why not just use the popular vote (us) to determine who be next president and vice president. | ||
